  1. It was a great run. Hopefully, the short-lived media attention will enable UMBC to recruit better players for another tournament run next year.
  2. Winning the America East Tournament, upsetting Vermont in the process, and getting auto bid to NCAA Tournament.
  3. Well...the Nigerian prince scam has been around for more than a decade yet Americans are still getting duped by those scammers. What does that say about Americans?
  4. Just to let everyone know, the IRS prohibits its employees from making initial contact with taxpayers by phone.
  5. UVA's De'Andre Hunter, the ACC 6th Man of the Year, was out with an injury. Hope Ryan Odom doesn't leave for a higher-profile, better paying head coaching job.
  6. 74-54 Way to go Retrievers!
  7. PG County should simply donate the land to the American Legion or VFW. It'll be in private hands and there's nothing anyone can do about it.
  8. A big problem at National Harbor, in DC and northern Virginia. https://www.washingtonpost.com/video/local/illegal-dirt-bikes-and-atvs-swarm-national-harbor-streets/2017/06/27/20037560-5b4a-11e7-aa69-3964a7d55207_video.html https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/dozens-of-illegal-dirtbikes-atvs-choke-the-streets-of-national-harbor/2017/06/26/0174b718-5aa9-11e7-9fc6-c7ef4bc58d13_story.html?utm_term=.0f579ea7e4b2
  9. Just like Redskins QB Kirk Cousins making $24 million, which puts him above Aaron Rodgers, Je Flacco, Eli Manning, Big Ben, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Tom Brady, etc.
  10. Jim Rogers, Marc Faber (Dr. Doom) and Peter Schiff have all been consistently negative over the past decade.
  11. There was a similar incident that occurred several years ago but the ambulance was stolen as Beltway Plaza in Greenbelt and resulted in a fatality. The thief was a white guy from Montgomery County. http://wjla.com/news/crime/stolen-ambulance-crashes-in-greenbelt-three-people-trapped-injured-109805
  12. Most likely Code 1.
  13. The Baltimore residents turned on Charles quickly after he expressed empathy for police.
  14. Ryan Odom did a great job turning around UMBC basketball in his first year. I hope he sticks around and builds a basketball program that can compete and win consistently year and year. With all the basketall talent in the State of Maryland, I wouldn't mind seeing a second college basketball team competing at the national level. Ideally I'd like to see UMBC play basketball in the Atlantic Ten Conference. UMBC would have rivals like La Salle and St. Joseph's to the north and George Washington, George Mason and VCU to the south. That's some pretty decent college basketball.
  15. For some reason, I can't get into Big Ten basketball. Never did like it.
  16. I haven't posted here in years. Some good news regarding football for a change. Hope Durkin has turned the program around. http://www.si.com/college-football/2016/12/12/college-football-recruiting-2017-classes
  17. Maryland gets another four star recruit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztvbQDWpafs
  18. I remember Maryland going up against Clemson during the Bobby Ross era. Those were tough fought games that could've gone either way. Maryland certainly has fallen on hard times. But I think Maryland finally has an administration in place that supports football. Just look at how the Cole Field House is being re-purposed.
  19. Randy Edsall apologizing to UConn for the way he left: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZZ6JnKAzyY After enduring 6 consecutive losing seasons, most UConn fans are ready to accept Edsall apology and move forward.
  20. With both Al Golden and Greg Schiano available, I'm surprised that UConn would bring back Randy Edsall. He left on bad terms, and his teams could never defeat ranked opponents.
  21. Even though John Graham hasn't done much, I hope he remains on the team.
  22. At least Maryland isn't as bad as UMass whose AD hired this week their former HC, Mark Whipple, who was unemployed this past football season. And, believe it or not, the fans are happy with the hire. Of course, he coached UMass when it played in Division 1-AA and was generally successful on the field. The transition to BCS hasn't been smooth, and the faculty is rebelling about funds being diverted from academics. LOL!!!
  23. Christine Brennan covered the Washington Redskins for the Washington Post during the Joe Gibbs era.
  24. Per 247 sports, the Terps have received commitments from only 2 of the top 30 HS players in Maryland. That's a pretty sad state of affairs. I read somewhere on the Internet that several current Terp players have dissuaded potential recruits from playing under Edsall. Not sure I believe that. But one thing's for sure, Maryland has opened the door wide open for B!G schools to pick apart Maryland. Why go to Maryland if you can go to Penn State, Michigan or Wisconsin?
  25. Maryland should offer a position to Larry Johnson, the Penn State defensive line coach line coach who Is regarded as one of the best recruiters in college football. He's from southern Maryland and is angry that he wasn't seriously considered for the Penn State HC position.
