Default My favorite soap opera is ending

Well, "Guiding Light" is coming to an end in September. I guess the news doesn't surprise me because the story lines have been going downhill for the last year. They've also gone to a cheap looking digital video format that just doesn't seem to fit a soap. I'm not addicted to the show but I have followed it since 1977 when I was 19, so it's sort of a sentimental thing. An sweet older couple who lived across the street from the boarding house I lived in then would watch it everyday. I'd visit with them every other day or so and watch it with them. Anyone else watch this show?

One of the few I never saw. I'm sory you are losing that touchstone in your life. I was into Another World from the beginning and I hated losing it.

Remember Love of Life and Search for Tomorrow? They were on for 15 minutes a day when I was a 3 yr old. LOL
Don Knotts was in "Search," I think. His character had amnesia for months.

I watched Somerset since it came from Another World. Poor long suffering Lahoma.

OMG, Lahoma! If that name isn't a blast from the past, I don't know what is.

Hey, do you folks remember Christopher Reeve on Love of Life? He played Ben.
