Default Quoting from political e-mails, newsletters

Word has come from Talk Admin that threads which quote political e-mails and and newsletters should provide a link. Keep in mind the two-paragraph limit. If you can't link it, you can't post it.

Why? They're using my tax money for the lies they put into print. How is that stuff in any way copyright protected?

    Sprightly--

I've questioned whether the material has copyright protection, but this is the way it came down from TA, probably to play it safe.

The Sun has been publishing unattributed press releases from the Democratic Party for years in both news stories and editorials.

You know, now that you mention it, that's true.

Just another way to suppress unapproved speech. These kinds of boards will be gone altogether by the end of the Obama Administration (if not before the next election).

Could you save it to another site (e.g., tinyurl) and link to that (Beyond my capabilities. )
To retaliate in kind would do nothing but intensify the existence of hate in the universe. Along the way of life, someone must have sense enough, and morality enough, to cut off the chain of hate. ~~ MLK
