    Default Michael's in Towson

Had a great dinner there with friends tonight. The place was hopping but they didn't hurry us. Very good food and service. Tasty scallops!

So it is. But it is also listed as a Towson & even a Lutherville restaurant.

Love Michaels, never had the scallops but the crabcakes are the best I've ever had in the county. They're usually very crowded but the service is still very good.

I like it a lot . It can be a little pricey and the bar can be a little loud.
The first time I was there years ago, the guy next to us keep dropping the
F bomb ... with his date there. I finally asked to be moved. Some people have no idea how to behave in public.

Ok I just got back from Michael's for the first time and I must say it was a bit of a mixed bag.
Wife ordered the crab cake. It was average at best. Bottomline if you are in that neighborhood and want a crab cake keep driving another block because the Crabcake at Corner Stable is 3x as good. We were not impressed with it at all.

I ordered the braised short rib. Now this was much better and the price was fair for what I got no complaints.

I gotta say we were the youngest people there, it was like Night of the Living dead in the dining room. The bar was a little more lively with people in their mid 50's and not quite in walkers yet lol

We will probably go back again but will not be ordering the crab cakes ever again.

The Pepper Mill is definitely for the blue hairs. I am not at all impressed with their pricey crab cake.

Maybe you should go to Pappas's.
