City Councilman Bill Henry has reimbursed the city for $6,000 in expenses charged to his expense account after questions were raised about thousands of dollars spent in bars and restaurants charged to Baltimore taxpayers. Documents obtained by Investigative Voice's media partner WBFF-TV Fox45 show Henry spent $6,000 at bars and restaurants throughout the city, all charged to taxpayers as legitimate expenses related to his activities as the 4th District councilman.

The receipts submitted by Henry recount meals at restaurants like Ryan’s Daughter, P.F. Chang's, and Zen West. During one evening Henry billed city taxpayers twice: $42 at Ryan’s Daughter then two hours later , shortly after midnight he spent $30 a block away at Zen West. But the receipts were not itemized as required by city code, a lapse that Henry said prompted him to cut a check last week, reimbursing the city for $6,000.
