The past has been good for AAPL. What does the future hold for it?

    Here's one man's opinion.

Never mind. Seems The Street rotates their videos and the one I referred to is gone.

That was the video from Scott Mortiz, right? Did you heard him say he said the same things when the stock was at 200.00. He has been incorrect for a long time. He is not considered to be a "smart" analyst by many who have been following apple for many years. I belong to two private Apple stock boards and he is considered as a joke to many who "blog" about Apple stock. He stated no new products in the future, how would he know. Monday is Apple's earning report and then Tuesday a "special event" for a new product release. The feeling that many on the private boards is an upgrade to the operating system and a new Laptop. Guess we will know by Tuesday evening....

(here is a comment on the private board about this video -

This video from Scotty Boy is just too F'ing funny. At least he admits he doesn't know **** about aapl ............. at the very end.

The obvious question is why do people listen to the chucklehead. ??? )

I didn't intend for the video to be an opposing viewpoint, but only another viewpoint. Mortiz, or whoever it was, left it open with the question as to how much more rise could be expected, if any, due to it's recent good history. I realize several rate it a BUY.

    All's good.....

There are analysts out there that still have Apple priced at under 200. Heck one analyst calls for Apple to be down to 97.00 dollars and has a hard sell on it :-)

Yep... it take two make a market. Every time some one buys a stock, they are buying it from some one who thinks it is going lower...

    pretty basic but pretty true....

This is what I decided to do this past September. I took a $490-K pension pay-off, rolled it over into a conservative, diversified retirement portfolio and one and a half months later, the initial investment now sits at $515-K. I wouldn't trust myself with that much money fully invested in the stock market. Meanwhile, I'm a bit more aggressive in the stock market with other $$$$s I'm still contributing to my 401(k).

I don't need to touch any of it until the end of 2012. Hopefully, it'll be a real tidy little sum by that time...

Here is the link regarding what the analyst predict for the stock to reach.

Notice the guy who say the stock will be 90 ( not the 97.00 I wrote) If you followed his advice would you still be a client of his :-)

Not hardly! That's a wide range of guesstimates. With so many having been wrong on the market several different times since 1999, I have trouble taking any of them seriously. Verizon's actions should jump up sales, but I can't see jumping on the bandwagon at AAPL's current price.

Closed the year at $322.56 - missed my goal of 325.00 by a few dollars. First day of trading for the New Year up 7.00+ (329.57) almost a 10 percent increase since Aug of 2010. Apple stock is a roller coaster as it could pull back to 300.00 in a heart beat.

For the long term investor this stock is a buy and hold. Many analysts have pushed their prices close to 400.00 by the end of 2011. When it hit 400.00 from here that is another 70.00 or so - a 20+ percent increase in a year.........

They both have a lot of patents about to expire and don't have much in the pipeline.

May want to look at the generics. TEVA seems to be positioned well for the future.

I still don't buy into Apple mainly because of the price and no dividends. There has to be a ceiling on their price, I just don't know what it is. I wonder what their next big thing will be since the market is fairly saturated with iPod/IPhones, although the Verizon market will be a nice bump for Apple (and my Verizon stock).

And while they make money on their computers, let's be honest, this isn't what got them to the top of the mountain nor will it sustain it.

That makes me think of the T1000. I always thought Google would be Skynet, but it could be Apple.

Folks picking stocks based on a hunch or an emotional feeling about the worth of a corporation are literally playing roulette with their money.
The truth so simply and eloquently spoken.

Maybe your Verizon stock will get that bump on Tuesday.....

Big rumor, but a rumor that has an invite. Could be or could be not!

    http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/20...one-flurry.ars

This rumor pushed AAPL up another 1.38 after hours to $ 338.10.

If the rumor isn't true... APPL will take a hit down to 320 or so.......
