Default High Fructose Corn Syrup Wants to Hide Behind a New Name

They can run but they cant hide from informed consumers.

The Corn Refiners Association will tell you that what they want to call 'corn sugar' is the same as other sugars, but evidence suggests otherwise:

Princeton University researchers reported on March 18, 2010 in the online version of the journal Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Behavior that consumption of high fructose corn syrup caused more weight gain in lab animals than table sugar when both sweeteners were consumed in equal quantity.

    Hahahahahaha!! Excellent news!

High fructose corn syrup won't get a wholesome new name after all.

The Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday rejected the Corn Refiners Association's bid to rename its sweetening agent "corn sugar."

It's a nightmare for the induced diabetes of the worlds people. It is apparent that the food and drink manufactures have little regard for the health and welfare of the public. DEATH, PAIN AND SUFFERING is a stimulus in health and nursing home care. Lots of pharmaceutical products needed. I bet they all have ties within an organization to make money. The get rich, capitalist, Republican way of business without restraints. Reminds me of the Pharmaceutical /Mental Health plans of economic health stimulation from the Reagan /Bush presidency that drugged the nation (world population) based on hearsay and horse manure as a formular for the investors profits.

Umm, how is death a stimulus to health and nursing care costs? It seems to me the dead don't need much of either.

    I drink the stuff straight...

Seriously, all things in moderation. Many Americans consume more food than is necessary, knowing full well what is and is not "healthy" for them. It's mostly a matter of will power... something few will bother to admit.

I like the control I have over diabetes using "BLUE AGAVE " as my sugar substitute. I use it in cooking. The taste is great and hardly noticeable. Morning coffee sweet again.

I WONDER WHY: The soda pop and drink manufactures still use sugar or aspartame in their drinks?

There is not a damn thing wrong with the stuff. And it is easier to digest than other forms of sugar.

Scientists say there is no difference as far as the body is concerned. They say the body doesn't know one from the other. I wonder what the media will have on the 'look out' for next ?

Well that's what the Corn Refiners Association's shiny happy tv commercials will tell you. Princeton scientists do not agree.

Define "easier". HFCS actually bypasses digestion going directly to the liver where enzymes are released telling the body to store fat. This elevates triglycerides and LDL ( bad cholesterol). It is metabolized dfferently than sugar, and it is very stressful to the pancreas. HFCS does not stimulate insulin, so you do not feel full.
