The police corruption in NY extended all the way to Baltimore and the movie
    prompted an investigation here.

I woke up one morning and picked up the Morning Sun to see headlines where
a B-More undercover cop uncovered dirty cops here. The name in the headline
was one of my best friends thru child hood. We went all thru little league together,
then high school ball and college.

I was so proud of him. One night I had a date and was driving my girl to a dance
downtown and a cop pulled me over on St Paul Street. I said I wasn't speeding
    officer and he started laughing.

It was my old friend Kelley. It was a joke. He just wanted to see me piss in my pants in
front of my date. I didn't know he became a cop. My girl was impressed.

The next time I saw his name was in the paper and I was so proud.

    It all started with Serpico.

Justice For All was another great flick. The helicoptor scene with the Judge was so funny. That movie
    was filmed in Baltimore.

A great line was when the Judge who said you're out of order and Pacino said, no your honor, you're
    out of order. LOL

The point that makes that line so funny is Pacino was talking about his own
client whom he found was a crooked judge and he was getting him convicted
breaking the atty-client privledge of not saying anything.

At the end of the movie Pacino is sitting outside on the steps pondering his
    disbarment.

THE RECRUIT is another great Pacino flick and a great spy movie worthy of Redford's
Spy Game and DeNiro's The Good Sheperd.

He plays a top CIA official who has a great talent in recruiting great talent. His favorite
line - AM I A FREAKING GREAT JUDGE IN TALENT OR WHAT?

He was standing in a room watching recruits take an entrance exam and spotted a guy
cleverly cheating. They pull him right out of the class and kicked him out.

Hollywood producers never get anything right. Pacino is pissed because he's a lowly paid
GS-14 for the gov't making $60,000 pr year. Hell, GS-11s were making that.

GS-14s were making over $150,000 pr yr plus bonus.

I know, I used to work in personnel and saw all the bonues the top grades earned.

Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice." In which Pacino played Shylock--with a little known actress from Texas named Lynn Collins, who played the best Portia I've ever seen. Her "Quality of mercy" speech was exquisite.

I never saw And Justice for All, but I totally agree with you about Serpico, which was an excellent film, an excellent story and an excellent book, as well.

wow......there are many that stick out in my mind and all the ones mentioned are excellent....for some reason The Insider also sticks in my mind.....maybe because it's where I lost ALL respect for 60 Minutes and CBS after seeing that movie!!!

    Glengarry Glen Ross

Great cast, a rare film where he is not the biggest star.

His rip into Kevin Spacey is classic, one of the best.

WARNING - not safe for work, at least with speakers.
