I don't want to pin this ALL on Gay marriage, but verse 6 has been fulfilled many times (Manson, Karesh, Jim Jones, etc.); chapter 7 also has been fulfilled since the beginning of time. Read verse 8 carefully!

Pornography is now found it's way onto every form of public media. People have now routinely live and conceive children out of wedlock. The problem is that people accept it as "the times we live in". My contention is that that the times we are living in is getting closer and closer to end times!

for verse 6 your examples are apt as to people coming in the lords name, but many other people have as well... just not as violently. I stopped attending a church in California when the minister persistently stayed with one very volatile issue several weeks in a row and flat out told us how to vote on a state-wide initiative. Not long after I found out he himself had political aspirations. I felt he was using his position for political gain and I just could not support that.

I don't write off the things happening as "the times we live in" as the more I find out about history, I realize the adage "the more things change the more they stay the same" is true. As the year 1000 approached, people were convinced the rapture was coming. Sounds a lot like 2000, right? There's been a recent discovery that could be the lost city of Atlantis off of Spain or Portugal... and it seems to have been wiped off the face of the Earth by a tsunami that would have dwarfed the Japanese tsunami. Some ancient civilizations (Trojans? Greeks? can't recall for sure) not only allowed gay couples, they required teen boys to live with an older soldier and engage in sexual acts with them as a rite of entering adulthood. Mt Etna's eruption that froze a village in time also is a natural disaster that pre-dates us and I doubt we may see again.

Just saying there's always a lot going on in the world... and always has been.

Pinning your hopes of a world cataclysm on a book written by a charlatan who died 1800 years ago seems pretty daft. Maybe if you woke up out of the stone age biblical haze that clouds your judgement you could join society as a functional human being.

Oh and I think gay marriage is stupid too. Not because of some dumb book full of fairy tales, but because homosexuality is a counterproductive endeavor. It will not strengthen society going forward and is actually a net drain on our most important resource, us. If everyone got into a gay marriage human kind would be extinct in a generation.

Why would you assume that what is right for one is right for all. Why either or and not both? What do we do when we can nolonger produce enough food to feed all of humankind. Because the land we need to produce that food is occupied by humans. What happens when the starving die and bodies pile up bringin disease? Should people be aloted a number years and then be required to run into the sea like lemmings and those who do not be hearded off cliffs? Homosexuality naturally restores a ballance to preserve life. It is a purely heterosexual world that is a doomed world. Just do the math. The equaion truly does begin 1+1=2. But that's not where it ends. 2+2=4 acellerate that 4x4=16 and 16 x 16= 256 and 256 x 256 = 65,536 extend that to infinity with the supporting variables. That's where you arrive at the sum of 0. The extinction of humankind. Homosexuality is the division that keeps the multiplication in check. To not use your freewill to discover and become the the person He has created you to be. It is to deny that He has created you.
