Exclamation Mark Reynolds > Adam Dunn

    Code:

    Dunn:

     BA HR RBI OBP SLG
    .184 5 23 .322 .337
    Code:

    Reynolds:

     BA HR RBI OBP SLG
    .198 6 23 .309 .377
Adam Dunn was very much coveted by many here. He is a player with incredible and historic liabilities in the field
but is counted on to be a basher and home run machine.
So far, he looks like he's dramatically regressed to Jason Giambi meltdown levels. .184? 5 dingers?
He was thrown a TON of cash to be way better than this.

As much as people hate on Mark Reynolds, he is hitting for better average, can actually play the field
and brings way more to the table than the fading Dunn. Just something to think about.

    Go O's!

Reynolds stinks too but they didn't go out and give him 4/40 like Dunn got. He's probably a guy that its a good thing they gave him a low ball offer.

Yeah its a good thing we traded one of our most promising bullpen arms who is now one of the best relievers in the National League instead of spending some of the spare money we're sitting on.

    Thank god.

I mean, we have Gonzalez, Rapada, and Simon. We're set.

    Travis,

We will use those 5 stats that You picked out. Whoever has the better stats at the end of the year wins 100 bucks. Both players must play in at least 140 games.

I have Dunn ---you have Reynolds

Let me know if we have a wager.

    Thanks

Even Ty Wigginton has a higher BA than Dunn.

Didn't Dunn start slow last year? If I remeber correctly, he hit like .220 with 4 HR in April last year. He ended up with something like 38 or 39. I think Dunn will come around. Reynolds..... not so much.

    Well we're almost to June.
BTW, Dunn had 10 home runs and was batting .274 at this time last year.

Thank you Andy for not overspending on a declining one dimensional player who has become a no-defense Dave Kingman.

No matter how you slice it, they're both lousy hitters and a major liability in their respective line-ups. If I was a manager, I'd rather have neither of them. There's probably pitchers in the National League that are better hitters.

way? you're what we call...wrong. he doesnt bring anything but losses. his hitting sucks, and his fielding has been bad. I have way higher standards than you anyway, you Sarah Palin supporter.

Not trying to support or drag down either Dunn or Reynolds, but I heard the other day that Dunn was 0-33 against lefties. That's incredible.

Last sentence pretty much shows that you know you just lost the Adam Dunn debate and you're reaching for a change of subject.

    Thanks for trying though.

Thanks Andy for saving the Orioles from that. Yikes. 0 for 33!
Just think of the chunk of change Dunn was demanding too for that awesomeness. At least Reynolds can play the field, costs less and has the potential for the same amount of power. Plus, Reynolds is way younger and not quite in his prime yet. Dunn is fading like most oversized bashers do in this game.

the adam dunn debate???? ha ha ...I'd rather be having a arod debate.. you know winning ballplayers.

go ahead travis have your little stupid debates. with yourself mostly. most people arent debating with you they are laughing at you, and sometimes out of kindness, trying to point out what a weirdo you seem to be. and hey how did that sarah thingy work out for ya, anyway?
