I don't remember that one, but I remember at around 5PM long ago listening to Pepper Young's Family and at about 7PM or so listening to The Lone Ranger. My Mother would be ironing with a Pepsi bottle for sprinkling or some other such task. I believe that this was before we had a TV around 1950 or so.
I love Golden Age of Radio shows. Huge fan of The Jack Benny Program, Abbott & Costello and Fred Allen and Allen's Alley. I have every radio episode of Jack Benny's. Thanks for the link to the Mystery Theatre site!
When I fly I always listen to old time radio programs of Sirius. Its a nice change of pace. William Conrad (TV's Cannon) often did voice work including Matt Dillion on Gunsmoke.
I sure do remember that from the mid 70s until the early 80s. WTOP 1500am out of Washington would air them. I can't remember the Baltimore station that aired it. Fred Gwynne was a regular on the show and of course EG Marshall being the narrator.
archive.org also has some of the shows archived.
I don't remember the following list of shows, but highly recommended.. The Shadow, Dragnet, X minus One, Suspense and the Great Gildersleeve (you'll recognize his voice if you ever watched cartoons) -and archive.org has almost everyone of them stored as mp3
I have a app on my phone called 'Old Time Radio'. It's great !
Thanks for the link !!!
It was a great show.
