It would be nice if the conversation could focus more on the baltimore area teams to include the publics. I get lost with all of the national elite all-world conversations. Im trying to follow the locals a bit more this year. I will be following New Town and Dunbar mostly. Can anyone give me the 411 on those teams?

Western has not hired a new coach as of yet. I agree BJC. Newtown has Coach Gina there and they should be pretty good this season. Western Tech/ Catonsville should be at the top of the mountain. Baltimore City Digital/Dunbar/Poly have the players to watch. Especially Poly, because none of their key players have graduated. Western graduated a lot and will be rebuilding but could upset a team or two. Same with City.

Who do you see as the best players at each position this year from the city, the counties, and the privates?

Which teams do you think will improve the most from last year?

Coaches, you can't afford not to take advantage of this opportunity! The list is growing and there is plenty of room. Time to make the DMV the place where college coaches want to recruit because...

Post Best era of the decade

I have been talking to other basketball fans about the level of play that is in HS today. Many of us thought that the last 4 year class (08-11) was the largest era of girls basketball in this decade numbers wise. Their were a lot of girls that could play that played during that time. Over 60 girls playing college basketball today. A great deal of high quality high school players also during that time frame. But the strongest era that maybe a different answer. I gave that era to the 04-07 era. I have put together my list of the Era teams - meaning all of the players were in HS at the same time. Classes of 00 -03, 04-07, 08-11.
There were so many good players. I had to give the 08-11 a bakers dozen cuz I couldn't cut anymore players. Just my thoughts.
