Now let's get down to cases...we have seen Brady, Rogers, Brees, Big Ben all have bad games. We also have seen Flacco have a couple of bad games too.

The fact that Flacco is on a 5-1 team has to catch the eye of the national pundits! Perhaps not.

However, have you noticed the number of 80 - 90 yard drives that Flacco has led? Impressive.
I think today,or yesterday was Joe's Vicksburgh. It had to be his worse game ever . You watch, like Grant Joe will rebound though.

He certainly wasn't yesterday but I think a lot of that can be laid at the feet of your OL and OC.

Why does this thread topic continue on and on and on.

Surely it is time to retire it.

I think everyone is banged up and the break came just in time. Writing this I must say the defensive coach is a joke and only if NE would have kept him we may have got our old defensive coach back, instead Atlanta got him. To bad but the Ravens are not dead, I can recall a game in SD where the Ravens were also written off, look what they did the next few games.

because it is relevant to everything about Flacco and the Ravens. Stop being a Dic* and enjoy the conversation.

Because it's one of those catch-all, endless message board threads that just goes on and on.

I think it is very useful. We don't have 10 threads like we have on the National page about one subject. Mom hardly ever comes on this board so we actually have fair minded mods. They will merge threads that are the same and have a hidden agenda to them. There is usually no hate over here and Joe Flacco is actually a thread that could lead to 25 threads all about the same thing. So love him or hate him.... this thread is about Flacco and how he does week in and week out. It is also nice to see how some that are against Flacco can at times give him credit.

I can't believe Joe was so good at the start of the game, 10 for 10 and 14 points scored on a pretty good Cleveland defense. Than Cam instead of taking a run here and there to close out the last 1 min 40 seconds of the half he goes pass crazy, gives the ball back and Cleveland scores. Well Cam Joe went sour for the next quarter and a half, no adjustments at half and lucky for the Ravens Joe got hot again. At one time only 1 first down until the final 5 minutes in the 4th quarter. I think Harbs said something to him on this matter as well.

Time to run the ball 25-30 times and limit Flacco to play action passes in the short and intermediate range. Time to move the chains, control the clock and keep that lumbering defense on the side line. If Flacco can do that and avoid turnovers, he'll be a shining star in my eyes.

21 of 33 for 341 yards (16.2 yds. per completion)...

3 TD passes and one TD rush (1 int, no sacks and no fumbles)

    Passer rating of 115.8

Only QB of top 6 (in passing yardage) who won today (including Ryan and Palmer).

I won't say the "E" word (because I still don't know what the term "elite" means) but I will say the "W" word - Winner!

Amazing what Joe can do when he actually HAS an O-line and a pocket, the WRs hold onto the ball (for the most part), and the scheme is varied and effective. I still maintain that NO other QB in the NFL could even accomplish what Joe has done with the crap hand he's dealt most of the time.

Easy there OCF, it was the Oakland Raiders we beat yesterday. Joe had a fine game to be sure, BUT the level of competition was quite poor.
Nevertheless, you play the teams on your schedule and they took care of business.
We can really make a statement by coming out crisp next week on the road in Prime Time. Eyes will be on us and the pressure will be on.

What are you talking about? I'm glad we won! Every facet of the team played well. Playing well AT HOME against piss poor teams isn't our problem, OCF. You know that. Pardon me if I'm not going to get all giddy about yesterday like some sort of child. Yeah - I want to see the type of play when the pressure is on. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Flacco was VERY good yesterday and it was great to see. As usual, his best throws were in play action and that's because the Ravens ran the ball 28 times and kept Oakland's back seven off balance. They're average per rush wasn't good but the important thing was they didn't give up on it. Maybe against the Raiders it wouldn't have mattered in the end anyway but going into Pittsburgh, it's the perfect mind set. I think Cameron is slowly but surely realizing that.

I hope you are right. If we are going to blame Cam when things go wrong (and many do) then we have to give him his due when things go right. Here's to hoping that Cam doesn't forget everything next week in Pittsburgh.

just want to point out the Ravens haven't lost in Pittsburgh since the 2009 season...I'm pretty sure Flacco was the quarterback during that time....some people complain just to complain...

and just to point more of the obvious...the Ravens were not a very good road team either year....

The D was more substantial, though. Still...that has nothing to do with Joe, even though some people try to make everything his fault.
