Both help me relive Civilization and Culture of the United States of America as I experienced it.
I was exhausted after my wonderful tour of Harrisburg, PA. I am a much less stressed person in a group since I just discovered my wish come true: the Common English Bible. The next generation will have that as a resource. This Bible unites all US citizens and illegal aliens.
After I awakened, the first thing I saw on TV was Charlie Chaplin PAY DAY. I've never been able to look at silent movies because of the Bible thing in my brain. Background I grew up in an America that legally hated Jews and Coloreds. I lived in a colored neighborhood. I had to always use public transportation to get to the Jewish neighborhoods. Of course they were all white. That's my America folks.
So for the first time, unstressed, I watched this PAY DAY film. What a lot to say about the man for all ages: Charlie Chaplin. It was a one-man production. This was followed by Omar Sharif talking about Dr. Zhivago. The film that follows is a Russian language film and so that's back to PAY DAY. I now have to spend today looking up all this in the Wikipedia.
There's William Penn the Quaker who at this point seems to be the creator of the United States of America model, Susquehanna River which empties into the Chesapeake Bay. Charlie Chaplin and Omar Sharif.
Now I always post "I" because I resent people who tell me "You should". You can always reply by "I" too. It's less intimidating. Instead of "you should", just say something like "No, I look at it" some such thing plus linkOr "OTOH" link. Or "Yes, link.

Or "OTOH" link. Or "Yes, link.

I've never let it get this full without burning a bunch of them, it's just been hard for me to find the time to burn 4-5 DVDs a day to free up space on the drive. I'd need a week off for a real Movie Marathon and I still wouldn't get them all done.
