    Default Baltimore City Championship???

Anyone have any info on when this game is, where, what time? I thought Patterson and Dunbar were to play today, but haven't seen/heard anything. Anyone know?

Sad. Not one single article or preview about the boys game tonight or the girls game tomorrow.

I was at the game tonight and their was really no buzz in the gym either. No real energy from the fans. There was a bigger buzz about the Basketball Academy last month.

Another lukewarm championship game just like the MIAA game. Patterson has definitely fallen short of its lofty preseason expectations and if they don't play better defense they will lose in the state playoffs. Dunbar played tough though, especially on defense, and kept Aquille from taking the game over. Great season for the Poets, it's been awhile since they brought the city title home.

Getting a #15 seed in the "blind-draw" might not get them out of the 3A-N Region playoffs.

To get to Comcast, they'll need to beat the #2 seed (Hereford), the #3 seed (City), and the #1 seed (Milford Mill).

City will be tough to beat at home. In the 1st game between these two Patterson got out to a 15 pt. lead in the 1st qtr. but City went on to out score Patterson in each of the last 3 qtrs. to lose by 7 and this game was at Patterson. The big difference this time though is that City lost its best on the ball defender a couple of weeks ago who really did a good job of slowing down Aquille in the 1st game. This is gonna really help Patterson out unless Christian can step it up.

City has played well down the stretch other than the 2 games when they were down to 7 players because of sickness and some other issues. They seemed to have regrouped and will be a tough out for anybody they face especially at home. If Patterson doesn't play better defense than they played last night they'll be in trouble. You can't just facebreak teams to death to beat them. Especially Bmore city teams who have gotten accustomed to slowing Aquille down. It's gonna be interesting.

I hope this matchup happens but there are still a couple of games to take care of first.

Lake's jv beat City in the boys championship 43-39.

City's jv beat Digital in the girls championship by about 10.
