Default Petition to oust the owner

Anyone think a hand written petition to oust Angelos as the owner would work? Maybe get a million signatures from Maryland residents asking Angelos to sell the team to someone who cares. An online petition would not have nearly the same effect. Its just an idea but one that would get some media attention.

I'm not sure he'd ever see it? I assume he has multiple minions to shield him from anything adverse or shows him in a bad light.

Agreed, he wouldn't see it. Because of their censorship, Louie and Johnny think their daddy is beloved in Baltimore.

waste of time.....he's impervious to the issues, will continue to ignore any and every indication there might be a slight problem with the way the club is run....from his point of the view it's the fans fault, they don't understand how complicated running a team is....

For a petition to work, he'd have to give a damn what any of the fans thought in the first place, and if he did, the team wouldn't be in such terrible shape.

I'm pretty sure the attendance numbers have made it much plainer than any online petition ever could.

Do you actually believe that there are a million Marylanders who actually care about Peter Angelos? I seriously doubt that you could even find a million Marylanders who even know who Peter Angelos is! Half of the Maryland population lives west of the Patuxent River in the 301 and 240 area codes. They don't care about Peter Angelos. Most of them don't care about the Orioles one way or the other. A large percentage of the other half lives in Baltimore City and they are too high on drugs, rot gut alcohol, PCP, meth amphetamines, and bad weed to care about anything else! Don't you have any better things to do with your time than to circulate meaningless petitions? Do all Oriole fans wind up losing their sense of reality like you have because of their hatred of Peter Angelos? I certainly hope not.

I think it would work. After gathering the signatures, mail it to Santa Claus at 1 North Pole Ln. North Pole, Earth. Attach a cover letter that reminds him of how much of a benevolent soul he is, because you want him to forward it up the ladder to Easter Bunny. He makes all the decisions. That's who Bud Selig answers to.

The local media aside from a few are too afraid of costing their employers advertising money and / or losing their jobs. This ineptitude would garner daily hatchet jobs in almost every other major market, but Peter controls the media here.

And he wouldn't care if someone dropped one billion legitimate signatures asking him to sell the team in his office. His ego trumps all else. He doesn't care one iota anymore about the state of the franchise on the field... as long as MASN continues to make him and the rest of the owners money... the world is his oyster.

Where did I say I hate Angelos? I just want him to sell. And that was a strongly worded response from you, by the way...for supposedly not caring. Whats so wrong with an Orioles fan wanting our dreadful owner to sell?? Since you dont care?

Someone could hand out petitions at local gas stations and fast food outlets for residents to sign, since I doubt Angelos law firm does much advertising in those places. I know Angelso is a paranoid, control freak, but how does a lawyer get control of the entire media?? He must write people checks for their silence, or something. I just find the whole thing odd.

Should work as well as the idiots posting "KONY 2012" on everything.

Are people really getting more idiotic, or is the internet just giving all of them a bigger platform?

Any idea is better than nothing.

And like Drew says in the link on WNST. "Some of you guys are cowards and need to man up a bit".

If you have an idea lets hear it. Otherwise your opinion in this thread means nothing.

If someone comes up with an actual good idea that will work, I'm for it. Otherwise I'm not wasting my valuable time.

    Ha Ha Ha

Unless you work for the O's (in the upper echelon, that is) your opinion is as good as mine WORTHLESS.

A lame petition to get a man to sell a baseball team is non-cowardly? I've done enough in my life not to fall for some ploy by a wanna-be "shock jock" to waste my time.

Have fun at the "Fire Angelos" glorified PTA meeting, lol!

I find the lack of caring by the owner and by fans to be odd. Just trying to shake things up a bit. Camden Yards used to get 3M in attendence every year.

Do you understand anything about Baseball ownership?

He hasnt been negligent or committed any crimes that would wound MLB. Losing isnt a crime or a reason to kick him out of the club even though you and a million others on here seem to know how to run the Os yourselves.
