I was finally hit by $4 gas yesterday. Thanks Obama.
At least Obama's ratings are dropping a gas prices soar out of control. He deserves the low marks.

Obama is done. Gas prices aren't going to reverse and his ratings are plummeting as it is. This is going to be a landslide of epic proportions in November. The liberals, at least on this forum, never saw it coming.
Yeah, yet another stupid thread about gas prices. Vote Republican because gas was always cheap during Bush's term and Republican candidates will magically lower gas prices!
Will you give Obama credit when gas prices come back down?
The people are speaking loud and clear. Everyone listens when that happens.
If gas prices come down, Obama will be a hero. But really, what are the chances of that happening?
Oh no!!! In this 2008 campaign ad Obama is complaining about $3.50 gas prices.
Talk about a slam dunk gotcha. Priceless...

Since I owned a full service Crown station in the late 70's..I am pretty sure I know how prices are set...
Back then, I remember the price wars..Everybody pays the same for the gas, for the most part, but you are correct, there is not all that much money made on gas..At least back then it wasn't...Back then, we would ride up and down and check competitors prices, we would lower ( as would they ) our price to beat theirs...They would lower theirs and so on..Each time it was lowered, obviously the profit margin decreased...
Today when a station is selling regular gas and 2 miles away the same brand is 20 cents per gallon higher, that owner is making a much larger profit..Now I also now that there is no comparasion to the numbers of gallons sold..The higher priced station is nearly always empty while the lower priced one has cars in it all the time...
Who is gouging?
