I haven't kept up with how he spends his days. what is he doing that supports the Yankees? is he working for YES or doing promo work or something?

initially I felt the same way as you do. he was a part time Oriole. but he managed to almost catch the winningest pitcher in O's history. that's a big accomplishment considering he only played half his career in orange and black.

I suppose you have to consider the perspective of why he's being inducted. if it's to honor him for his sake, then forget it. Mussina was never a player who wanted attention. if it's to honor the team, then it makes sense to induct him because he is among the all-time ranking pitchers. they aren't celebrating his whole career, that's for the MLB HOF to decide on. they are celebrating his time in Baltimore. I think most of the rejection he gets is all about his decision to go to the NNY. if he signed with the Indians or Phillies, I doubt many people would be upset with this decision.

Raffy and Miggy belong in the O's HOF because of all they "brought" to the team and other players. Their contributions were very significant both on the field and off the field.

Vlad also belongs for the simple reason that he's a lock for Cooperstown. It seems obvious that anyone who makes it to Cooperstown belongs in a team HOF.

really hector? two known juicers, aka, cheaters...you want to give them recognition for their accomplishments based on enhanced numbers? no going to happen for this hall of fame or the mlb hall of fame in Cooperstown...I get that you have one single focus, however, try thinking through some of the garbage you post....

vlad doesn't qualify because the requirements for consideration require more than 1 year on the club.....keep pushing your one-note agenda....

I didn't see it on line in the site that showed all of the Oriole HOF. I am glad to hear that.
He was my first Orioles hero. I still have an autographed baseball he gave me in 1958 at the All-Star game when it was played here in Baltimore.

For a lot of years the Orioles were a better team than the Yankees. Better defense.

I must differ. You are right that the Colts rarely played the Skins in Unitas's days but when they did the Colts usually trounced them . Washington wasn't a good team until Lombardi started them in the right direction and George Allen took them to Gibbs' era.

The fans are the ones that don't like each other because of the proximity of the 2 teams. Seeing Joe Washington in a Redskins uniform was upsetting. Had John Unitas had on the Maroon and Gold I think it would have made a whole lot of Colts fans pretty sick.

Just curious - what are the eligibility requirements for the O's HOF? You seem to have a lot of information on the subject.

Regarding cheaters, I rather suspect that you strongly supported Raffy and Miggy when they produced big numbers for the O's.

When you look at the stats for the 1996 team and look for atypically high homer years as a possible indicator of drugs, a couple players stand out. First, there's Brady Anderson's 50 homer season. Second, the O's shortstop hit 26 homers in 1996 which is far more than he hit during the 7 years from 1994 to 2001 (1996 excepted). Possible indicator of drugs????
