If Lee Evans makes that catch, this thread doesn't exist

As far as missing the playoffs goes...I think it's going to take a lot more than that. And as long as Cameron is here, Joe is under his thumb, long term contract or not.
I'm telling you now once Joe gets his contract he will have more power, he will receive the richest contract the Ravens have ever given a QB. The Ravens have never even paid a QB or any offensive player at least $10mil per year and Flacco will be the first (he'll receive at least $12mil per year). Money talks and Joe will have the long term commitment from the organization to back him up.

We'll see. The time to SHOW the "long term commitment" was when it came time to re-hire Cameron. That's where they dropped the ball. When you know that your QB and you OC don't get along, you don't re-hire the "on the ropes" OC right before you try to sign your QB to a long term contract. There's nothing magical about the money he'll get. The Ravens know they're going to have to fork it over. That's not going to change Cam Cameron's style. Nothing will.

I think that there are no dynasties in the NFL, but making the playoffs 5 of 6 seasons comes close. However...it often is a matter of guessing right on players who have not played a down in the NFL.

Had the Irsays drafted Leaf with his gaudier stats, instead of Manning, things might have been different.

We have the advantage of looking back...the front office doesn't.

I have to disagree with that one...in most teams, the one making the most money will have more pull. With a new contract, the organization (not just Harbaugh) will be saying that they will follow Flacco to the future.

On another level, it appeared that Flacco has been stepping up over the last couple of years to a more assertive posture.

I hope you're right. But the way I see it...it'll be the same mediocre O-line, the same paltry WRs, and the same sub-par OC. And it'll still be all Joe's fault. Let's see how it plays out.

We're in the "I gotta see it to believe it" phase far as seeing how this will play out. I understand your frustration man I hated the fact that they brought that rigid OC (I don't want say his name anymore LOL) back but it is what it is. If I was Joe and I know I'm about to get a nice brand new contract that will ensure that I'm going to be here for the long haul I would tell that OC to kick rocks brotha it's my show (I know too old school LOL). I'm not Joe so we'll see how Joe handles this situation moving forward.

The way I see it...1) nearly the same O line that allowed Ray Rice to rush for 1200+ yards and kept Flacco upright long enough to help win 13 games, 2) the same WRs (Evans gone, Torrey Smith became a feared weapon in the arsenal, Boldin was able to work well under the middle, the TE twins outperformed Heap on his best year, Rice still a force on the checkdowns and, finally, Leach causing nightmares for LBs and DBs who had to tackle him out of the backfield).

As for the OC, I see two changes: 1) Flacco will have a new contract and the confidence of the organization (as well as the expectations) which will only increase his ability to push back at Cam; and 2) Caldwell to provide a QB's perspective (not to mention be a reminder to Cam that he had better show some results).

One thing we can be certain, it will play out! That's why we are Ravens fans!

Always keep one thing in mind: we could be Dolts' or Deadskins' fans! Or we could be GASP Buffalo or Cleveland fans!

Is it because the Ravens pay their players, all of them fairly.
Ozzy does not over spend. But he will spend all the cap and field a team.

I don't get it. This seems like its a put down of those teams' fans......and yet.....you are talking about some of the most loyal and rabid fan bases in the NFL.....partiucularly the latter 2. You should be honored to compare your selves to those fans....but as usual.....you seem to have missed the valley for the trees.

Mr. Locker Combo, what you've just said ... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

You need to take a vacation from posting...your inability to respond to the information posted is worse than usual.

Before you go however, let's analyze the idea: We could be fans of xxxx (any team you want to put there) is not a put down of the fans, but of the teams. Got that, Petunia?

Now go away and foist your idiocy on someone else.

Fine....lets look @ those actual teams as well. Even then.....save for W-L records.....you are still found wanting. Overall popularity....likability....fan/media empathy....coverage on Bristol etc........they've got you beat.

Why the hell would coverage from Bristol make more of a difference than a W-L record? You are an idiot, and you're pretty stupid even for an idiot

I wish you would apply those metrics (overall popularity, likeability, empathy) to yourself and take appropriate action.

    More coverage = more exposure.

    More exposure = more popularity.

More popularity = more top notch players that want to play w/that team.

More top notch players = more W's.

Its not that hard Frankie....altho maybe it is to you.

    Cool story bro'.

Most wins in the league over the past four seasons: Steelers (50), Patriots, Saints & Ravens (49). Second most wins in the league. They also, year in and year out, have a disproportionate number of Pro Bowl players. So tell us again how the Ravens can't get top notch players and can't win more games because they are less popular due to less exposure.......

Do you ever actually think before you write your nonsense?
