Two interceptions in the ONE YEAR he was in 'his prime'.

Oh, but he did deflect six passes that year.

    What are we waiting for?

2004 Ed Reed NFL DPOY...9 INT, 358 return yards, 17 passed deflected.

Ed Reed has had better seasons when he didn't win DPOY than Bob Sanders did when he did win.

I remember it too. Usually as soon as he was mentioned as a great safety, he was then injured. Year after year.

Well.....I stand corrected. And yet....fat lot of good that award did him. How'd they do in the playoffs that year?

At least Bob got his DPOY playing w/a defending SB champ. So there is that.

[QUOTE=18-87-44-29;7988476]I'm honestly not sure if we could use him.....looks to be almost washed up if you ask me. And for the $$$ he wants on top of that? Naaaah.

Besides....pound for pound.....I'd take Bob in his prime over Easy Ed every day of the week....twice on Sun

I know you. You're Rick from Reisterstown. Are you still at Spring Grove or at Sheppard Pratt?

Hmmmmmm and you never talk to yourself? That clearly represents responding to stupidity because you are beyond stupid. Forrest Gump is a genius compared to you, you frickin' troll! Even mentioning Bob Sanders in the same breath as Ed Reed, even if he can't tackle with two arms anymore is further proof of YOUR stupidity. You really need to get some time out of the closet you reside in!!!

Then it would be proof of Bristol's 'stupidity' as well. Because as sure as the sky is blue....they did just that when Bob was healthy and @ the top of his game. I remember it well.

In fact.....I would deign to argue that their main S debate @ that time was more Troy v. Bob v. Taylor. Easy Ed was only peripherally in the convo.

It has already been proven that what 'Bristol' says has no actual bearing on the games that are played on the field and the results there of. If it makes you happier to just enjoy what is said by commentators, rather than seeing the actual games on the field, by all means, be happy. For most of us, watching first ballot Hall of Famers win games will have to do.

Is this really the time for this, when we still have Rice and Flacco to resign?
I have no issue with any player trying to negotiate more money. I do the same where I work. And no, we don't have a salary cap here, but we do have a budget. I want as much as they are willing to pay me. No one is going to give you anything unless you speak up.

I think he's getting paid over 7 mil this year. He certainly was not worth that last year. He should be happy with what he has. Add to that who knows when he's retiring? Concentrate on Joe and Ray. IMO

Ed is a HOFer but he has injury problems. THey need to get younger and cheaper in that position. This is his last year in Baltimore. Maybe he can get a title and retire.
