Default People who own black cars on here...

Did you find that you got tired of it? I've never had a black car, and I'm considering getting one. Just wondered if I'd get tired of it.

I've had a black truck for 10 years now and I'm not tired of it yet. I love my truck.

You might get tired of washing it if you are someone who doesn't like a dirty looking car. Black really shows the dirt, pollen, bird crap, etc.

I've had two, including one currently. Sold the first one after only 2 years, not because of the color but to get rid of the little sports car to go back to a truck. The current black one is only two years old but I still think it looks sharp...washed it last night and it looks great!

Not for a little bit yet, I'm doing it during Travis's show. He's broadcasting from my procedure.

I have two black cars and a black SUV and I second what was posted earlier about showing the dirt. Especially nowadays with the pollen. I've got 2 white cars and they are are much easier to take car of.

Black vehicles tend to show swirl marks and old wax too.

I have a black car. It's my first. Just to echo what others have said, they do like to be clean. I got it because of the deal, not the color. My only advice is never use a scrubby on black! Anyone know how I can buff out a scrubby sized fade?

I have a black truck and I wash it once in a great while. Don't too much care about how it looks as long as it is running right and the boat gets to the ramp.

I've never owned a black colored vehicle. They just don't appeal to me. IMO, the only vehicles that look good in black are hearses and limos.

What was the make on those cars again? Matchbox or Hot Wheels?

Polish w/ a polish applicator (as opposed to a regular rag or whatever which could just make things worse). The brushes they have at those coin-operated car washes are really bad for the finish. Even the touchless car washes are pretty bad for it; the chemicals in those are too strong.

Also, lmao @ Mitchum's five cars.

Anyhow I'm surprised how many people here own trucks given that it's Maryland and what not. Not really pickup country out there. Now out here I should probably own a pickup to get back into the mountains, but I own a small sports sedan instead.

It's called Dump runs, Mulch, towing boats and the occasional snow fall. Pickups are indispensable.

Really? Pickups are great for hauling crap around. Isn't that really the point...just being able to toss whatever into the bed? I've had everything from landscaping supplies and mowers to furniture to boats. I've got a rack that I can carry 2 bikes and two kayaks all at the same time while leaving the bed open for camping gear and firewood when we go to the mountains or the beach or the lake house. I've brought back loads of firewood in them, helped people move in them..and on an on...

So when you getting one? You can toss the kids in the bed!
