    Den Hund biss der Mann.

My 12th grade english teacher wrote this down in my classroom and I was the only person who knew that it meant the man bites the dog.

Where exactly does it say that they guy who was murdered was a "White Hispanic" His name was Daniel Adkins which isn't a typical hispanic surname.

Where does it say the driver was a black guy?

I have a friend with a very polish last name who benefitted from affirmative action AND grants/scholarships for being hispanic.

I find this case extremely troubling.

    It doesn't

It says "The dog bit the man." biss is the wrong past tense for beissen -- and to be correct it should say "Der Hund (he) beisst (bites) den Mann (him)."

Den Mann beisst der Hund. -- Man bites dog.

"Den Hund hat der Mann gebissen." - The dog has the man Bitten. -- Man bit the dog.

    Karlydee--

No. Den Hund is accusative, so it is the direct object of the sentence. Der Mann is nominative, so it is the subject. Biss (or biß) is past tense of beißen, but for a one-time occurrence in the past, one would likely say "Den Hund hat der Mann gebissen."

Notice there are no calls for bounties, demands for an arrest, etc..
Now, who would shoot a Taco Bell?

Yeah, your right, screwy German word order and accusative articles that we don't have in English. I rewrote it correctly (US english word order) out of habit:

"Der Hund beisst den Mann", because it just looked wrong.

I used beisst because Beta said "bites" and biss means "bit".

OMG -- can't belive this is coming from my keyboard:

Beta - I apologize you were correct.

That's why my english teacher taught it, I think, because of how bizarre word order was in German. But this was a while ago. I was the only person in the class who had taken German, so I was the only one who knew it meant the man bit the dog.

They are all based from the same non news site. "appears to be" doesn't mean "is". The identity of the shooter hasn't even been released.

Is this a "non news site"?
The driver, a 22-year-old black male, called police but has not been arrested.

They've changed since it was originally posted. I can't get back into it either. I think the family should contact Rev. Sharpton, like Trayvon Martin's parents. If they can't get any help, I'm sure the media would be more than happy to report on it. Isit possible that the shooter was arrested, and it hasn't been reported. I can't even find any recent local coverage of the story.

Maybe the stand your ground law is a dangerous law. Your average citizen is not
responsible enought to carry a loaded weapon. There's nothing more dangerous
    then a chicken ch!t with a gun.

This is more outrageous than the Zimmerman/Martin incident.

A man walking his dog shakes his fist at a 22 year old motorist in a SUV that came close to hitting him. Idiot motorist pulls his .40 S&W and shoots the man in the chest who is holding his dog's leash.

Again, dead victim, live shooter; only one side of the story to be told.

Shooter claims man with dog had a "3 foot metal pipe". The police found no weapon. The victim never touched the shooter or his SUV.

    http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/29/us/sta...html?hpt=hp_c3

    Quote
[Shooter] told police he had no choice but to shoot. He said he couldn't drive away from Adkins because the dog was in the way and he "thought he had no other options," according to the police report.
    End Quote

Shooter didn't want to hurt the dog so he shoots the man.

This whole thing stinks to high hell. The shooter should have been arrested right then and freaking there! What the hell is going on in this country where you can just shoot people and then say "Oh Lordy I was scared for my life" and all is well? It's insanity.

Good to see this is getting more attention.

Interesting to note that CNN said it would not identify the shooter because he has not been charged. Of course, George Zimmerman's name was well known before he was charged.
