If it worked so well, why is Flacco still unsigned?

Correct me if I am wrong, but what kind of moron thinks Flacco is unsigned? And what kind of moron does not see his own loser mentality looks at stats of one individual from one year to the next without looking at all the variances. This is not baseball where a persons batting average or pitching ERA can be looked at. Football is more of a team sport and stats are more about team accomplishments than individuals.

Flacco has one year left on his current contract. The Ravens are negotiating an extension. And stats can be misleading. The Ravens played tougher defenses this year. But if you really think individual stats are important. Look at Flacco's playoff stats in each year. They keep getting better and better.

Of course they probably wouldn't be happy with the next one either?

Aaron Wilson (who chrisbraven has no respect for) has said on more than one occasion that Flacco's contract will more than likely be finalized by the start of training camp in July. Chrisbraven has no sense of reality so don't pay too much attention to anything he says.

I have said it before and will do so as many times as is necessary: Flacco had a nearly brand new receiving corps with no offseason with which to get in sync. Lee Evans, a big-time playmaker in the preseason, was injured for much of the season so youngsters like Torrey Smith, LaQuan, etc. were forced to step up!

Offensive line problems have been well-documented.

The philosophy (throw the ball all over the field) did not change until the second half of the season in which a run-first mentality took over.

Flacco played 11 top-10 defenses last season. They don't give up anything easily. Small wonder but this QB with the "poorer" stats did lead the team to 13 victories last season.

Look at his stats over the first half vs the second half of the seaon.

I believe he will get better for two reasons: 1) he wants to get better and 2) receivers like Smith are humble young men who seem to have a burning desire to be the best at their craft!

He's not yet signed because both Ozzie and his agent are doing thier jobs and trying to find the best deal for both sides.

Dropped? Didn' t he have a little help with "not catching" that ball? Granted, I would hope a big time receiver would out muscle the defender, but still, the CB knocked the ball out, had the CB not been there, it would have been a catch, I don't think its right to call it a drop.

But yes, people put too much heat on Evans and not enough credit to Moore (around these parts, anyway).
Agreed on both counts. I don't see how people would want to run Flacco out of town. The guy is a top 10 QB and climbing. He has faults, but so does every other QB. Peyton Manning is considered a QB that might eventually be called the best, yet he threw a pick six in the superbowl that pretty much gave the Saints the win. Brady is close behind, but has lost the last two superbowls he has been in. My point was only that one play didn't lose that game. There were several plays during the course of the game that had they been made, maybe it doesn't come down to the last drive. Sterling Moore made a great desparation strip on the Evans ball. It happens sometimes.

I wouldn't say fans want ( including myself ) to run Flacco out of town. But if he becomes a distraction to the organization, that he be escorted to the trade line for picks. I believe in fair exchange being no robbery. Value wise he would garner high value picks and he himself would get that astronomical paycheck from a desperate team. Since I know all facets are enamored with his skillset it's not going to happen but I'd at least look into options going forward. Taylor and a draft pick with upside should be given reps to increase their personal knowledge and the Ravens leverage. Just in case Flacco really does become Wacco. At the end of the day I believe they will reach common ground. But the hostage taken needs to stop during every off-season. Rookies out playing there contracts do get some leeway however they have to be reasonable and his stats suggest he's not top 5 in personal stats but he's really close. I think he has a strong argument for top 10 but not top 5. He should be paid a signing bonus that equates that his past is appreciated and a contract that makes it clear that there is room for vast improvement in specific area's (clock management, play calling, hurry up, red zone points, and reading defenses i.e. Tampa 2, cover 2).
With Rice being the primary catalyst from yardage/move the chains aspect, someone needs shave there figures down. So Joe your good but your not great. Can't see paying him as such.

There are truly some ignorant jerks out there (read the comments under the article) but unfortunately Joe put himself out there for the wolves to attack him.
I guess it takes an “Ignorant Jerk” to know one!!

Just a reminder to all on this board this so called man, Sugaray52, is not a man anyone should take very seriously and he is not an honorable man so avoid any bets he tries to make with any of you. He is the kind that will hound you and scream to everyone that would listen if he wins but will cowardly disappear and hide to avoid honoring a bet he’s made if he loses.

Your punk *** still won't let this go will you LOL? I'm clearly still inside your head. For the record I have honored bets with fellow Ravens fans (Ngata Nother Suggs) but I just love screwing over a ***** *** Yankee fan like yourself. You got played ***** and you know it LMAO.

Just stop it! We are supposed to be discussing Ravens issues...not juvenile name-calling.

One Locker Combo is enough please!
