AKA, I'm not a troll but a real baseball fan who knows the O's roster is sub standard compared to the other teams in our division

I guess you just proved my point. too many here are rooting for falure so they can "be right".

    TM
Not me. I'm not "rooting for failure". I'm actually quite excited and happy with our nice start.

But I am a realist. And I know it will take a lot to break a losing trend of 14 years. A lot has to go your way. I just hope we don't turn into the same team we've been the last 14 years when we hit a rough stretch.

    Go O's

Didn't say you were. Though considering your history it wouldn't surprise me

I'm sure these 13 games have been painful for you then.

I'm a bit surprised myself. The Orioles sucking was the biggest thing in his life.

This is a poorly constructed team with below average ability. It's great to watch them win more than they lose but its still April.

How can a team that hasn't been near .500 in over a decade have only 3 players under the age of 26? Only 8 players drafted by the team? Since Wieters the O's haven't added a drafted everyday player of quality to the team.

They have little in the way of farm talent after Andy MacPhail left, who was supposed to have a free hand and World Series team building experience.

After years of losing I'm more interested in the Orioles building a franchise to be competitive over the next decade then I am in watching a mediocre team, at best, catch lightening in a bottle.

A totally lame, glass half empty view and an awesome example of one.

I'm certainly willing to discuss baseball and the Orioles with other fans, that's why we are here. But please respond with facts or analysis, not insulting comments.
If you disagree with the substance of what I said, please post that information. We can have a conversation among O's fans and baseball fans about the team.

The problem is that he can't analyze or discuss baseball, and isn't really an O's fan. He just waves his phony pom-poms around because what's he's really really good at is being an attention whore.

That's a shame. It's getting tougher and tougher to find people who really want to talk about the O's here in Baltimore.

Moon doesn't assess talent, rather he deals in wishes.

Did I wish the Orioles to 1st Place on 4/20?

we do have what many believe is the best position prospect in baseball in machado who was recently drafted. But your overall point is correct. The failures of Loewen,Rowell,Hobgood and possibly Matusz is killing us.

By the time Machado comes up Jones will probably be gone and not replaced with equal value. Markakis will have peaked and Wieters will be counting the days to free agency.

Not at all. I usually enjoy the O's first month and a half. After that, it's business as usual and by business I mean last plce
