Reynolds is definitely not good at 3B. I've seen Nunez play 3B and SSt and he is definitely not good either. Nunez has fewer errors simply because he has less playing time. And I'm not sure errors are such a good way to assess their defense, I bet Nunez has been saved errors by Tex's gold glove.

But here's the 2011 error breakdown
    Reynolds:
    31 errors/645 chances = 4.8%
    Nunez:
    20 errors/235 chances = 8.5%

If you just compare 3B, Nunez comes out slightly better but Reynolds at least provides some pop at the plate.

the guy has a 0.5 WAR that pretty much says it all.
He led the team in OPS last year, which tells me he should be in the lineup. He was leading the league in errors when he played third base last year, which tells me that, while he should be in the lineup, it should not be at third base. Move him to first base, an experiment that worked fairly well toward the end of last season, or make him the DH. That's the solution. I'm surprised that even the Orioles' braintrust is too stupid to realize it- and that's saying something, because my opinion of them is rather low to begin with!
