Default National Review fires editor who said Whites should fear Blacks

I have no doubt that some posters on this forum share Derbyshire's world view

"Avoid concentrations of blacks not all known to you personally."
I guess this rules out an NBA game where most of the players on the court are black.

Not I. I live in a neighborhood where I am the minority.
    My children are my legacy.

My neighborhood is 60/40 (60 white). As far as I can tell I'm the only one with Hispanic descent. I don't fear the blacks here at all. They are good people.

However, I do fear blacks in the city.

I can't think of any place I could go in Maryland/DC and be afraid of whites. I've never feared a hispanic in my life.

I didn't call out anyone specifically. Why are you being defensive?

I don't even fear them. They mostly harm each other, those minded to cause harm for one reason or another. But on the whole inner-city blacks are as decent as people anywhere; they're just stuck in a bad situation is all.

I guess it had something to do with getting a gun stuck in my face on Gay Street many years ago. People tend not to forget those things.

Really? Since you are 100% sure who here agrees with which parts of the article?

“There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps... then turn around and see somebody white and feel relieved.”
    Jesse Jackson

Apparently, Jesse Jackson, and all those blacks who put bars on their doors and windows in my old Detroit neighborhood, share Derbyshire's world view.

His statement is as stupid as the implications made by some black leaders that young black males have reason to fear the police. It is only a few high profile situations that fuel these fears.

You should have given a link to the Derbyshire article, not to some comment- writer's characterization of it.

    I'm certain that many people--posters or not--share Derbyshire's view

Poltically correct NR editor Rich Lowery is gutless. The witch hunt continues...

I'm sure you can find Derbyshire's article with a quick Google search.

Just because many share Derbyshire's view doesn't mean he's right.

Everything. There's no rational reason to fear people based on skin color. Why is it so difficult to judge people as individuals or not judge a book by its cover?

So there are no blacks who hate/resent white people?

There are a few of those right here on this board.

I don't recall him saying all blacks should be judged the same.

Of course there are. Any person of any race can be prejudiced

He said whites and Asians should avoid groups of blacks that they don't personally know. How can that be interpreted any other way than him saying members of an entire racial group should be judged the same?
