he's not hiding anything...he's avoiding 6 months worth of discussions about where he hides his money and how little (in relative %) he pays in taxes. He'll take another one of his weaknesses and try to deflect his being rich back on the president. He's done it with a number of issues....for instance-- his comment about Obama spending too much time at Harvard when in fact, Romney spent more time there....

Speaking of that Obama tax shelter thread..What happened to it?? Did someone get upset to see that Romney protects about 12 million of his capital gains through his family trust?

In Romney's defense, they guy has been in a dog-fight for about the last 6 months. It's been non-stop campaigning all over the country going from one stump speech to the next, one campaign event to the next, etc. etc.. It's not surprising that he'd need to file an extension for his 2011 return.

You do realize he still has to pay his taxes by tomorrow, right? All an extension does is gives him up to six months to finalize his forms. It is perfectly legal, not unusual and there are any number of reasons for filing for an extension. There were 10.5 million extensions filed last year.
