    Default Chris Davis

It's still really early and his totals won't stay as good as they are, but Davis might turn out to be a decent 1B/DH when it's all said and done. Coming into tonight's game, his line was .346/.370/.577, and that was before a 3 for 5 night. He's still a bit too Reynolds-ish for me (very feast or famine, it seems, though less so), but if he can post an .850 OPS on the season he'll have some value going forward. He's never done it before and is 26, so it might be asking too much, but he's been better than I expected.

Also yes, I just posted something positive. Get over it.

Edit: After last nights game his line is now .387/.406/.613

He's got massive upside. That trade was a robbery.

The trade was indeed a robbery. I said at the time that I would have traded Koji straight up for either Davis OR Hunter. Getting both was just a bonus. I believe that Davis is 26 and Hunter is 25.

I like and respect Koji, he throws strikes (which I love), and is a gamer. However, he throws an 88-89 fastball, and gives up way to many home runs. At his age (37), he was never going to be a part of any future winning that the O's did. Texas has gotten almost nothing out of him, and he did not even make their world series roster last year after a poor regular season with them and then getting crushed in the playoffs.

The O's are guilty of doing so many incredibly inept things, but that trade wasn't one of them. Seriously, I really can't believe Texas gave us that trade.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him shipped off to AAA by mid season or so...I predict a lot more famine than feast in the up coming weeks.

Srsly....is anyone rly expecting him to keep that up?

I do know that whinemaster will be all over him within a week calling him "trash" just she's called the rest of the team.

Don't let this 6-4 defensive "optimism" she's throwing out there today fool you .... she's all about enjoying losing.

a co-worker explained to me that in the gay community it's very common for homosexual men to call other men "she", even when the men they are referring to are not homosexual.

And a co-worker just explained to me that in the gay community it's very common for homosexual men to rush to the defense of another dude they don't know but on an online message board...

But why have an issue with homosexuality W.O....it bothers you? ...I have issues with guys like you who care about someones sexuality... it isnt your business quite frankly. Get off it, it doesnt belong on the board.

Weird-O, a word of caution. If Nick has issues with guys like you, it could mean real trouble. One more thing for you to worry about in your neigborhood.

He should have caught that ball Arrieta threw to him. Hopefully his bat stays alive for atleast the rest of April.

true, but he made up for it with his bat. at the end of the season, I think he'll provide more positives than negatives. he's been good at 1B.
