Default Afghan President Karzai: "Give me $2 billion a year"

Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Tuesday said he wanted "at least $2 billion" a year from the United States after it withdraws its troops in 2014.

Karzai said the US should specify in a partnership agreement to be signed between his country and the US how much money it will give to Afghanistan after they leave.

"They (US) say we will give you money, but will not specify the amount. We say give us less, but write it down," Karzai told a group of university professors and students in Kabul.

What a jerk! Can't we just leave and let the Taliban string him up?

Works for me. Screw him, he's a corrupt bastard that will just steal anything we give the country for his own use.

I doubt he'd stay around long enough for that. He’s probably got him a nice chalet in the Swiss Alps waiting for him in the near future, and a big fat bank account that he’s no doubt been stuffing like crazy ever since he struck gold with 9/11.

But I'm with you on the "can't we just leave" part. Probbaly should have left a long time ago, back when Bush failed to trap OBL there. It's all been a waste of blood and money since then.

Think about it, 1,827 Americans killed in action, 15,460 wounded in action. And for what? So that we can leave that place the same ****hole it was when found it. We never ****ing learn.

No we don't learn anything, we should have focused on OBL there and killed him, bombed those that supported him and then brought everyone home. The only thing we should have left there was a sign that read, "Let this serve as a warning to anyone else wanting to attack us."

That's what their tribes have done to each other for centuries, they don't learn anything. We need to take away their ability to export their insanity. If they want to live int he 9th century within afghanistan, great. But the second their insanity spreads beyond the borders, then we dig jihadi holes for them to take dirt naps in.

    Cool

Two Superpowers down, one to go. I guess it's China's turn to have their asses handed to them in Afghanistan.
