Default How times have changed - your stories, and is society better?

I remember being about 6 or 7 years old, going to a Giant Food, and buying my dad a pack of cheap cigars. They sold it to me no questions asked, and I gave it to my dad.

When i was 13-14 I went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, went to some weird tobacco store, they were selling swords, and I bought a sword. A big, heavy metal sword (wasn't very sharp, not th ebest of quality, but it was a sword) and they sold it to me. And I somehow managed to grow up and not shoot up my classmates.

What was it like even longer ago, things that you know would never be allowed anymore? And how on earth did you manage to survive?
