If a "Site Monitor" decides to represent themselves as me in a post, (complete with my initials tagged at the end), then "semantics" should synch up more accurately. Then again, said Site Monitor seems to be jumping the shark when it comes to the carrying out the important responsibilities they are trusted with here.

GET OVER YOURSELF.....
What????
I would say that statement is about 90% incorrect.
In Angelos' case he is directly responsible if you look at the people he has hired and fired.
Before he bought the team there were players who wanted to come here, managers who would kill for a chance to manage here and what better ball park and better fans than we have? Almost 4 million to slightly more than 1 million in attendance? Dumb luck or bad breaks? Hardly.
How do you reverse that trend so quickly and keep it on the skids for 14 years?
By thinking that you know more about the game than baseball people and you let your kids get involved who know even less than you.
Andy MacPhail was a good hire as is Buck Showalter. MacPhail had enough and lets see how long before Buck says screw it.
A real savy baseball operation would be trying to lock up Matt Wieters and Adam Jones to long term deals. The Orioles see their situation as money saved for the time being.
Example....Tampa Bay.
