Has anyone heard about the current role Cal Ripken is playing in the Os organization? I used to read about him meeting with Angelos regarding a possible management position. I have also read about a Ripken group buying the Os. These stories have dropped off the radar?

He's not returning to baseball full time until his youngest is off to college.

I don’t think he wants anything to do with the organization until changes at the top are made, if it ever happens. I have no doubt he would be interested in an ownership role if it came up but I really doubt Angelos would be so kind to do such a thing!!

I think there's a better chance he winds up w/the team 40 miles to your south (or for that matter....basically any other team) than w/your team. Remember who's still in charge there.
