Default Former O Aubrey Huff put on DL with anxiety issues

The San Francisco Giants put Aubrey Huff on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday while he received treatment for an anxiety attack.

Huff left the team in New York over the weekend after struggling at the plate and in the field. The Giants originally said he had a family emergency. Manager Bruce Bochy said on Wednesday that Huff is getting treatment for anxiety. He could rejoin the team in San Francisco over the weekend.

''He had an episode of anxiety,'' Bochy said, before a game against the Cincinnati Reds. ''He got some treatment, he'll continue to get treatment. At this time, we thought the best thing was to make this move and put him on the 15-day disabled list.''

How about that? A former Oriole that actually cracks up after he leaves the O's.

Let me tell you, when those anxiety attacks hit, it isn't any fun. I had them about 12 years ago, during what today I call 'The Winter of Death' (my brother...cancer; my dog...I had to put him down; my wife's boss...sudden heart attack; her other boss' brother plus...murdered in a robbery; and numerous others on my periphery). They can be scary. I ended up at the doctor's office hooked to an EKG.

I felt bad for him, I was watching a Mets-Giants game the other day and he was put in at 2B in the bottom of the 9th with a small lead. First time in his life at 2B. Man on first, grounder to short, tailor made double play only Huff hadn't moved to cover the bag. Giants ended up losing.

But hey he was a big part of the World Series team so he'll always have that.

Sometimes, holistic medicines including weed really can help the afflicted. I know it benefits me whenever I read your tiresome diatribe
