Default Violent Bus Beating = offensive-touching

Good lord. An obvious advantage of violent bullying is called "offensive touching".

Brandywine School District Transportation officials are investigating an alleged assault that occurred on a school bus Friday afternoon that left a 7-year-old girl injured.

School officials first learned of the incident Monday when they received the report of the Friday alleged assault from the bus driver, said Alexis Andrianopoulos, spokeswoman for the district.

Upon learning of the allegations that an 11-year-old girl assaulted the younger girl, officials started reviewing the official tapes from the school bus, interviewing the bus driver and questioning the students involved, their parents and other Forward Elementary School students who were on the bus

    More deflection

“Incidents of bullying and aggressive behavior are taken seriously,” Andrianopoulos said. “Thankfully, they occur infrequently, however, when they do occur they are dealt with immediately and appropriately.”
The incident remains under investigation and no actions have been taken as of yet by the district. State police also are investigating the allegation.
Cpl. Jeffrey R. Hale says an offensive-touching report was taken Friday, and the case was then referred to the Youth Aid Unit for follow up. “At this point it is an on-going investigation,” he said.

Give me a break, this is a clear assault, no 'offensive touching'. Are school bus drivers supposed to just keep driving when fights occur on the bus? And the fact that the mother has heard nothing from the parents of the perpetrator speaks volumes. The 11 year old should be banned from the bus. Let her parent/guardian figure out how to get her to school.

They shouldn't have to figure out how to get her to school, she shouldn't be allowed back in school

Due to PCness, viciuosness of kids (ie for the hell of it alleging fondling, sexual abuse, just to destroy someone) it makes wusses out of people.

People are actually afraid of intervening these days. Whereas Kitty genevese wasn't what it was made to appear as, in fact, what we were led to believe happened in that case is actually more likely to happen today, like in China, with that kid who got hit by a truck, and people just walked by as he lay dying.

The other student's need protected from this 11 year old. The 11 year old should be placed in a facility where she could receive the counseling and Psychiatric help she obviously needs.
