This weekend. A bunch of bands on three stages for $75.00

The Shins would be the highlight for me.

I really like The Shins. One of the biggest influences on James Mercer's music was The Smiths.

    Too expensive for me

The Shins and Explosions in the Sky (an awesome post-rock group) would be the highlights for me.

Ticket prices have exploded over the years. If you know where to go and who to see you can see great local music for a lot less.
I do like the festival scene and I am ok with dropping some extra cash for VIP.
I have done that a lot at the camping festivals like All Good, Mountain Jam, and Bonnaroo but not at the day festivals like Newport Folk, Jazz Fest, Virgin, and Hot August. I am going to do Delfest non VIP but I go an RV. I guess it is a matter of priorities and cash. I have the disposable income and I like to do a few festies a year and do them right. Back in the day we did shows and tours on pennies.

This festival was just ok..I won't do it again next year...The Treehouse stage was running an hour behind which messed things up a bit..Main stage stayed on-time..My highlight was a suprise band for me called US Royalty, out of DC...Great stuff and will certainly look for them around here in the future...

Fitz and the Tantrums were great, as were the Shins...Explosions in the Sky are extremelly talented musicians..

Place was packed with lots and lots of young adults...Fairly well behaved crowd..The organizers just needed to keep that 2nd stage on time...Food choices were great and we loved the lobster roll and organic pork...The organic beer from Peak brewery was not bad either..!!!

A good festival to check out is the Firefly festival coming to Dover...Impressive lineup will be there..

Thanks for the report. Keeping multiple stages on time all day is hard (guessing) with all of those musicians and stage equipment. But if the New Orleans Jazz Fest can do it anybody should be able to.
Sounds like a nice day but I imagine it was a little cold and wet. Early spring is a gamble.
Firefly looks fantastic. Sick lineup. Unfortunately it is the same weekend as All Good. I kind of wish I did Firefly instead but I am already committed.
Also the same weekend as Artscape.
