Why was my offer of a bet classless? I believed it at the time and I'm surprised that I turned out to be wrong. But it probably won't be the last time that happens.

A bet is a bet only when it was agreed to by all parties. If you put money down on a card game and the dealer walked away, would you pay the house if the cards turned up badly for you?

Colts obviously much better than I expected. It doesn't hurt that the AFC was pretty terrible this year. The AFC East and West have a combined 6 teams under .500. Throw in Cleveland, Tenn and Jacksonville and teams can win a lot of games.

In all fairness...the Colts are better than I -- or ANYONE else -- really expected.
