MO is a legend and a class act.

    That's too bad.

Ultimately good for us, but you dont' want to see guys hurt.

I couldn't find anything on the injury with a quick search of the sports sites. Do you know how he actually injured himself? ACL or some other knee inury while running?

I think baseball has the weirdest pregame warm ups of all time. The batters face 70 year olds throwing meat balls while the pitchers take outfield practice.

    What the ****?

Just showed it on MLB network. Slipped on warning track, crashed into the wall, knee bent awkwardly. Looked real bad.

That's just stupid, no reason in the world for him to be doing that.

    Oh, that was him?

I caught it out of the corner of my eye.

    That sucks.

The yankees will not panic and wait under a closer is availible and overpay with prospects to get one. Remember in 2003 Boone got hurt and people wondered what the yankees would do at 3rd base? Then they got A-Rod...

Maybe we can unload Gregg on them.

Seriously, sorry to hear this about Mariano. He's always been a class act.

Robertson could probably close then they'd just need an eight inning guy.

Roberston is big time. Right now probably has better stuff than Mariano so they wouldn't miss a beat at closer. But it would mess up the rest of the pen bigtime unless Soriano steps up.

The Yankees have had a number of injury problems in the last couple of weeks and are stretched pretty thin right now. But I am amazed how well Jeter has started the season and how well he played the second half of last season. I can certainly be counted among those that ridiculed the contract he was given and so far I am having to eat those words!

Pick up Robertson in your fantasy leagues!!!

I've been extremely busy with school, so I still haven't even seen video. That bad, huh? Any word on how long he's out for?
