Default O's lead AL in ERA @ 2.79

    Nats lead MLB @ 2.41

    Tex is 2nd in AL @ 3.38

The Pitching Staff has been nothing short of brilliant this year (in all 3 phases Starting, Relief, and Closing.

    O's opponents have scored:
    10+ Runs - ZERO times
    9 Runs - ONCE
    8 Runs - ONCE
    7 Runs - ZERO times
    6 Runs - 4 times
    5 Runs - 3 times
    4 Runs - 3 times
    3 Runs - once
    2 Runs - 7 times !!!!!
    1 Run - 4 times
    0 Runs - TWICE
12 times in 26 (46%) games the O's Pitching Staff has allowed 2 or fewer Runs

The O's are tied with TB in MLB with Saves at 11?

It should be a read dogfight when the Orioles face the Nats this season, even more so than usual.

The rise of the O's and the Nats and the collapse of the Red Sox, Yankees and Phillies proves what should have been obvious all along. In this era of bloated payrolls and bloated egos, the teams with the highest payrolls are wasting their money. The performance of many of the highest paid players declines in direct proportion to the size of the paycheck. The examples abound.

PA is wise to set a reasonable budget and stick with it.
