More Americans each day are realizing just what a horrible mistake it was to vote for an affirmative action candidate in 2008 ... one that has failed miserably, mind you.

....For weeks that summer, Genevieve challenged Barack to a footrace. Not long-distance but a sprint. If they sprinted, she insisted, she would beat him. Barack kept putting it off. “His response was merry disbelief,” Genevieve recalled. “By merry I don’t mean he laughed at me, though he was amused. He had this way … where he inhabits a mocking space—it’s sort of a loving mocking—as if to imply ‘Ah, the frailties and tendencies we all have to be delusional, self-deceiving, preposterous even, but you are cute, and I like you better for it.’ ” Finally, he relented. They picked a day, went to the park, and chose a walkway lined by lampposts for the dash. Her journal entry:

On Sunday Barack and I raced, and I won. I ran so fast my body transformed itself onto another plane. We ran, he started off behind me and I just said to myself stay ahead, stay ahead and my body became a flat thin box w/ my arms and legs coming each precisely from a corner. And I didn’t know how long I could keep it up, but I was going to try—my whole sight concentrated on the lamp post when I felt him slow and yell you beat me, at first I thought he was giving up, but then I realized he’d meant the lamp post on the left and I’d really won! The feel of the race was exhilarating, but I didn’t feel very victorious. Barack couldn’t really believe it and continued to feel a bit unsettled by it all weekend, I think. He was more startled to discover that I had expected to win than anything else. Anyway, later in the shower (before leaving to see The Bostonians) I told him I didn’t feel that good about winning, and he promptly replied probably cos of feelings of guilt about beating a man. In which case, no doubt, he’d already discovered the obverse feelings about being beaten by a woman. Nevertheless, it was a good metaphor for me, despite, as I confessed to Barack, that in some ways it would have appeased some aspect of my self-image to have tried and lost. But I didn’t; I won.

Republicans and tea party pundits self-righteously proclaim that the divisiveness that has been stagnating progress in Congress and that has been evident in the political blogosphere constitute proof that the public is justifiably upset with the policies being promoted by Obama and the Democrats in Congress.

Hmmm. In 1938, Orson Welles presented a Mercury Theatre radio melodrama version of War of the Worlds which was so convincing in its presentation that many panicked listeners believed that they were witnessing a real invasion from Mars. Some folks took up arms against their neighbors, fearing that they were part of the alien invasion.

When Obama was elected, Congressional Republican leaders publicly proclaimed that their top priority was not to improve the national economy, nor was it to improve the security and welfare of the American public, instead it was to do whatever was necessary to undermine the Obama presidency.
In 2009-10, right wing pundits went on the air, and and in an attempt to instill irrational fear and hatred among their listeners, repeatedly proclaimed that health care reform and other progressive programs would result in Armageddon -- the end of society as we know it, the onset of a fascist, socialist, tyrannical dictatorship led by a foreign-born, terrorist-sympathizing, Caucasian-hating closet Muslim.

The only difference between the 1938 event and the disingenuous, fear-mongering propaganda campaign that has been waged by the likes of Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Coulter, Bachmann, Palin, and others is that Welles did not hit the airwaves on the day following the mass hysteria and declare that the public response was proof that malevolent Martians did indeed exist.

Of course they did and the American People agreed with that and supported it.

Why would you cooperate with someone whose ideas are directly opposed to yours?

Obama wants another gay marriage distraction, anything but discussing the Oconomy. This will be prevalent point in the campaign. O will blame it on the repubs, his dog, europe, and GW Bush, anything but his failed Oconomy.

Does Rubio still use the Florida Republican Party credit call to pay his bills? Is he still missing his mortgage payments?

Maybe he can get a crooked real estate developer friend to help with his million dollar plus house like the Obama family.

Obama can't run on his record? How are GM and Chrysler doing these days?

GM has returned to being one of the top auto makers in the world and Chrysler is on pace to repay their loans ahead of schedule

Obama can't run on his record?

Manufacturing jobs in US make a comeback

Amid continuing mixed signals about the economy, one notable bright spot is the revival of U.S. manufacturing. The surprising strength of this once-battered sector holds promise for reenergizing the U.S. economy overall, and despite troubles in Europe, its new vigor may provide a boost to the global economy.

26 Straight Months of Private Sector Job Growth

Under President Obama's leadership, the economy has added private sector jobs for 26 straight months. During this span, over 4.25 million private sector jobs have been added.

In the Senate, Democrats are fighting to continue this positive trend and help speed along the economic recovery

A lot of people didn't want those two crap companies bailed out. And most people know it's their money that bailed them out, not Obama's.

Does Obama claim he saved JP Morgan, Merrill and AIG too? He should run on that.

Unemployment would be a lot higher if GM and Chrysler werent bailed out.

The bank bailouts happened before 2009. Who was President when we bailed out AIG?

    BS.

If those companies were let to go bankrupt, the assets would have been sold and re-utilized. Most of the workers would have been re-hired and we would have made a serious improvement to vehicle aesthetics for the future.

Marco Rubio is a disgrace to his race and all minorities.....Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan, Sean Hannity, Limbaugh, Mitt Romney & Eric Cantor are dead wrong about Obama instigating divisive class warfare - it is the pathetic GOP and tea party mob that wants more tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires, which is the epitome of CLASS WARFARE. Raising the tax rate from 35 percent to 39 percent on millionaires and a billionaires not equate to socialism or marxism or communism.

Tax cuts for the wealthy has NEVER worked as a tool for economic growth...which is why george h. bush called trickle down economics "VOODOO ECONOMICS" in 1980 - and trickle down economics is still a sham today...just like death panels and voter fraud.

Listening to Rubio, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan & Mitt Romney prattle about tax policy & economics is comparable to listening to Newt Gingrich for marital advice.

Calling Obama the 'food stamp president' when he came into office during a recession is like calling GWB the 'planes crashing into buildings president'.

Cap & Trade, the DREAM Act and the individual mandate were ideas initially developed by republican politicians less than 20 years ago - these same white Republican politicians now oppose these initiatives simply because our black president endorses them.

You idiots in the tea party mob oppose every Obama initiative from cash for clunkers to stem cell research to the DREAM Act to stimulus spending to bombing Libya to health care reform to Cap & Trade to the GM bailout to ending don’t ask don’t tell to halting torture to wall street reform because you can’t come to grips with the fact a black man is our president.

Out of pure curiousity why is it you give The Honarable Marko Rubio the curtosey of calling him by his title but refuse to extend the same curtosey to the President of the United States?
