POLICE chiefs have banned IT staff from using the word blacklist over fears it is RACIST.
The computer term whitelist — used to denote a list of acceptable contacts — has also been outlawed.

Like the city councilman in Munich who thought schwarzfahren (riding without a ticket, literally black-riding) was racist.

Have Germans banned Zigeuner sauce yet?
I don't know. Never heard of it.
BTW, Sweetie, why did you disappear on this thread?

The conductors must be getting soft. Usually you couldn't pull anything over on them. They never missed a fare or forgot a new face. They could tell you exactly when and where you got on, no matter how crowded the bus was or how many stops had gone by since. You'd best pay up or hand over your ticket to get it punched. Besides, the Germans hardly ever cheated, at least back then (early 70s) they didn't. It was like the ultimate embarrassment to get tossed off a bus. At least in Berlin it was.
Only went to München once, for the Oktoberfest, and for some odd reason I can’t recall much about the place other than my arrival and departure. But I must have had a good time in between; the hangover was most memorable.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot...
And the Brits do seem a little crazy when it comes to out-PCing the rest of the world, don't they?
I heard a story of how a couple of Brit policemen got in hot water and sent to intensified sensitivity training for describing a suspect as being "fat" in one of their reports. Don't know if it's true or not though.
But they do appear o be carrying this PC business to the extremes is my two cents' worth.
Political correctness = emasculated sissies.
Will they start whiteballing people now?
Maybe the colors of pool balls need to be changed?
And no doubt bowling is reverse racism.
