Default Crucial game tonight vs Tex

Not because it's Texas but because of what haapened yesterday.
The Bullpen was severly taxed yesterday.
Matusz NEEDS to provide 7 good innings. And provide rest to the Bullpen.
These are the kind of situation that can set off a difficult losing streak.
If Matusz gets knocked out in the 2nd or 3rd inning it could begin a stretch of bad Bullpen performance due to tired arms. The O's don't have an Off Day again until May 24, and their next 9 games are against Tex, TB and NYY.
Of course all times go through this but these can be the situations that can seperate the Winners from the Losers, or tbe +.500 teams from the -.500 teams.

Matusz needs to come through !

Don't be surprised if Matusz is taking one for the team tonight.

No matter how he pitches, he will likely go 6 or more innings.

It would be awesome if Matusz continues to pitch like he has the last 2 times out.

O's are in good shape if only Matusz,Pomeranz and Berken pitch. I have no clue who closes. Buck says only guys unavailable are the ones who have pitched 3 straight days: Lindstrom and Patton. But I'd be shocked to see JJ or Strop

If Matusz continues on his (so far) upward trajectory this season (no real steps backwards, at least, so far...knock on major wood!), then he may well pitch a complete game...

He'll be lucky to make it through 5.

Not a huge step back so far, but not a step forward

I don't know what his final line is going to be but 'not good' is pretty much a guarantee at this point.

    No surprise that he didn't.

I was high on Matusz two years ago, but he has regressed into becoming a non-Major League pitcher.
