I was in the bar and saw:

Josh Hamilton, 5-5, 4HR, 8RBI and I punched the guy next to me. He's good but come on now.

You know what they say about excuses right??

You are trying to live in denial by saying it is just 2 games, they’ll be alright, but those of us that know better know that the inevitable collapse by the O’s is coming and it is just a matter of time. Could these 2 games be the beginning of that?? Who knows, maybe or maybe not but it will happen.

Despite their early season good start the O’s are a very bad team that has played well over their heads to begin the season and now looks completely over matched by the defending AL Champs.

Many of you on here have been giving credit to people, talking about players as if they have arrived, and acting as if the season was about to finish and the O’s were AL East Champs and on their way to the playoffs.

How long are you going to use the 17 inning game as an excuse?? I guess we’ll find out soon!!

    I think you're exagerrating.

People should be happy and excited about being 10 games over .500. Bad teams don't normally reach that mark in a season even though we've been here before and fell apart. Why can't you just let people enjoy it while it lasts and not rain on the parade.

I don't know how anyone can enjoy something when they know what they see isn't real.

Thinking the O's are contenders is the equivalent.

You're being kind - actually Slidemaster predicted the O's would only win 53 games in 2012.

Close but not quite - the O's WILL win at least 95 games in 2012. I have it on EXCELLENT authority.

This board really isn't about the O's or baseball, it's a huge pissing contest between the optimists and pessimists over who is right. Oh and just for kicks, it's mixed in with Yankees fans, people for whom being beheaded in Pakistan by Muslims extremists is too kind a punishment.

Acknowledged - your grossly inaccurate prediction of 55 wins is slightly less grossly inaccurate than your prediction of 53 wins. The correct answer is 95 wins. The O's are on pace for 103 wins but I expect them to slow down just a bit.

What would you be willing to bet on that?

I'll bet Kudzu's estate that the Orioles finish closer to 95 wins than 55.

The Orioles will not finish with 55 wins nor will they get close to 95 wins. Both of those are just silly "predictions".

You're new to the Board you your lack of understanding is forgiven. Rule number one is never question my predictions - they're remarkably accurate.

Not sure if betting is legal in an internet talk forum. If it is, I'm in.

Who’s crying?? I’m not crying I’m just stating my opinion and making my predictions. Look back at the time I’ve been here and I say I have one of the best, if not the best, record on here for predictions. All I have to do is repeat what I said the year before and I’m right well over 90% of the time. Can’t say the same thing for many “experts” on here!!
