Default Turning Cold to Warm Seats with Removal of Hope to Expectation

1 of 4 was my hope for this series. 2 or 3 in the next and I would be satisfied. Of the 15 games a 7 of 15 was expected. No I am supporting an 8 of 15. Yes Realism is necessary. This Oriole Team is not going to the playoffs. But it is better than the past SO FAR.
The Real Test, The Real Measuring Mark comes Jun 30. In the past 14 years the Orioles have had good May 3-4 times. But then the June Swoon and it remained for the balance of the season. So more time and more positive results are needed to determine if the organization is turning the corner.
If the Orioles are to turn the corner and stay turned it will require the elimination of the micro- managing by the owner. The GM/VP and the field manager need to have free hands to make the necessary moves. More a case of Not Asking Permission but suggesting a Request for Forgiveness when the decisions to not workout. Let Baseball minds run the organization. This in itself in the foundational problem with the Orioles. Until this is eliminated the future will continue to be shaky.
But we should go to the games. The attendance at yesterday’s game was less than the team deserved for its play so far. But like myself the fans are being asked to commit without a firm commitment by the team and ownership. Until HOPE can be replaced by consistent positive results and winning is not the prayer but within reach each night the seats will remain cold. It again lies at the steps of the owner. I at one time had a partial season ticket plan. Not for 8 years have I committed my money. I expect a return of this commitment for my money. That return is the expectation we are going into any game with the expectation we have a chance to win. Winning is going to warm the seats. Winning needs to be the norm not a HOPE. How many invest their money in a stock Hoping for positive returns. History has a way of producing our expectations. What has 14 years taught us to expect- More Meddling and micro managing?
Peter saved the franchise with his purchase. But after the debacle with his gm and field manager has drifted to a malaise that is more than the fans and organization deserve.
Here is Hoping I can no longer Hope but Expect winning to be the opportunity each night. I want to invest my money n warming a seat and going hoarse each night rooting for MY O'S. Since 1954 I have rooted for My O's. But in recent years my voice has not been as hoarse because the expectation gave way to a quiet hope. June 30 is my Hope for Expectation.

how so? by buying the team after OPACY was built and the team had signed a 25 year lease to stay in Baltimore?

Key words rt there....SO FAR. As Ive said....how many times have we seen this movie?

I predict 'SO FAR' will last about another couple weeks or so. Then back to reality.

Check you history. Bennet Williams ran the Orioles into Bankruptcy. Peter bought it owver the 2 out of twon groups. One was trying to move the tema to Washington/ Baltimore corridor in the future with the help of the commissioner.
Without Peter Baltimore would not have a team. It would be the same as the stolen Bullets and Hockey team not to mention my baltimore Colts.

I do have a lot of HOPE. But I need this owner to put EXPECTATION in its pplace before I can go back to buyiing season tickets.

upon your advice, I checked my history and confirmed you are correct. my apologies.

what I discovered is a super secret, so don't tell anyone o.k.?

the O's weren't just going to be moved. they were going to be contracted by the league. more than that, a secret army of brown shirts were poised to infiltrate the region and remove all signs that they ever existed. All memorabilia was to be collected by force and removed to a secret encampment where it was to be burned to soot in a big oven. The ashes were then going to be mixed into mortar and used to build a big wall to honor the Yankees.

This next part is very scary. anyone who lived in the region was to receive a lobotomy to erase all memories of the team and its history. A deal was struck with MLB to delete all stats and records. Any former player was to have his career rewritten to show that he played with his team of choice. The 1966 world champion Dodgers featured a young pitcher named Jim Palmer. Cal Ripken Jr. was a career…and this hurts…Yankee.
I can’t go on, it’s too painful to keep thinking about.

    wow, talk about revisionist history:

When Williams bought the O's, the Washington Post ran an editorial proclaiming the O's belonged to DC....at no point was Williams looking to move the franchise...baseball in DC failed twice...he also signed the agreement and lease needed to begin construction on OPACY...willimas died in 1988, groundbreaking for OPACY stater in June 1989....

Eli Jacobs purchased the club from the estate of EBW in 1989. He had to divest himself of the club in 1992 at an auction where the frog king bought the team.

The frog king was committed to staying here...since assuming ownership he's completely destroyed the franchise

I hope the frog king pays you well...

obviously, like me, you're just plain wrong about this. isn't it obvious by now that PGA saved the O's from moving to DC?

Maybe you should check your history. Everything you stated is completely false.
