I actually helped coach lacrosse in the bay area with a Gilman alum and very good friend named Matty Wise. I also worked at camps in Northern California with Lorne Smith and Scott Banerjee (both Gilman guys) whom I have been friends with since HS. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of Gilman guys whom I didn't see eye to eye with, but I also had more than my share of friends, like Jamal Cox (Gilman/Ga Tech) , Travis Blackston (Dunbar), Billy Evans (Loyola/ Hopkins lax) whom I played football with at Overlea rec since I was 8 years old. Don't get me wrong, I was a fire cracker and there were plenty of Loyola, Gilman, ect guys I didn't get along with as well, including one person from GA's class who is currently on Gilman's staff. LOL. I had plenty of friends at City, but no adversaries. In my 4 years, we never had any kind of issues with City on the field in terms of conduct or dirty play or fighting. Gilman and Loyola, ehhh, not so much. LOL. I actually got along with most Poly guys too.
