Best Sci Fi Movie Of All Time

My vote has to be ALIEN.Revolutionary in the way it portrayed space with a gritty realistic feel with ordinary people.The Alien with it's well thought out life cycle and underlying male rape fears. A very disturbing movie for it's time that I think is lost on younger generations with all the gore and violence shown today. The chest burster scene alone makes this an iconic movie experience. Some say it's too slow and ALIENS is better {which I also like very much} but they are two different movies that stand on their own.One is a horror movie set in space and one is an action adventure.

A friend of mine just said Alien last week as well.

I personally think it's 2001, not because it's weird, but because it was so reveolutionary. The special effects hold up even today..
