    Default Foxworth!

I wonder how he is. I also wonder if he has a Vet's minimum left in him. Just saying he would be worth the minimum as the third CB to cover the slot.

Or as some really smart football guy once said. YOU can't have enough CB's. Not asking for a #1 or #2 cover guy. But does he have his head on right about the knee. If so and it is "fixed" then you know what you got. Can still see him in his Terps Uni.

First he announced his retirement yesterday so there's that, second the Ravens already have a better number 3 CB in Cary Williams, and third the Ravens are already deep at CB at this point.

Well....put it this way.....you couldn't rly do much worse back there. He'd probably play for cheap. What've you got to lose? (Besides more than a few games)

I guess we can say, once again you go back on your bets. I knew it was to good to be true. Maybe you can bust a gut from all that laughing you are doing.

Foxworthless was too busy playing union man and thus neglected rehabbing his knee. He's one of the main persons responsible for significantly less practice time. Ironically, his rear can use all the practice time he can get. He doesn't fit in with a relentless defense that has a killer instinct. Heck, he couldn't even make a CFL squad anymore.

So in your honest opinion you believe that the Ravens are a poor football team. Correct? Care to explain in detail why you think that?

You just lost your alleged best defensive player for the year.

You have no viable backup @ RB. Don't even give me Allen. And the guy from Temple? Will he even stick?

You haven't addressed WR. Evans is gone (and will likely rebound nicely in JAX)....w/noone to replace even his limited production. Streeter? Tandon Not-Moss 2.0 far as I can tell. And lets we forget.....Antwan is getting no younger (or quicker.)

The OL is still a shambles. Birk is ancient. Oherrated is...well just like that sounds. BigMac Kinnie is unmotivated. The new guy....how good can he be expected to be really? Not like he'll start any time soon.

And....ah yes....there is the dilemma of one Flat Joseph. Has yet to take that big leap as his peers have done. And given this is his 5th yr...could be what you see is what you get. I was glad to see that the great Pete Prisco cut thru all the rigor marole and called a shade a shade. Top 100? HA!

Need any more detail? I can go on. As Mr T said in Rocky 3....I got a lotta mo'....gotta lotta mo'.

    Blah Blah Blah.

You'll pick 6 or less wins, be wrong constantly and then say the Ravens are lucky. Being a loser clearly doesn't get old for you.

Ah yes.............if these guys played for the Colts, you would be referring to them as Hall of Fame candidates.

At the end of Rocky III Mr T lost, never to be heard from again. The Ravens are going to be a good football team next year. They might be great or they might be slightly above average. Time will tell but I'll bet they are better than the Colts. Oh wait, I tried to do that already and you ran away like the paid troll that you are.

    Run away? Me? Kidding right?

I say you will be squarely average at BEST and I will not budge from that.....much like I stand firm by my 68 W prediction for the Orioles despite attempts from Hector etc to nudge me off.

I say what I mean and mean what I say and don't back down from it. Test/doubt me if you want.....I will be right here standing my ground.

You said the Colts would have a winning season and offered to bet anyone who thought differently. We all know how that turned out, don't we? Oh wait, as a paid troll it is against your contract to respond directly...

I will give you credit. You do stand your ground. Much like the Japanese at Iwo Jima. You always lose, but you still stubbornly stand there declaring the emperors divinity.

Foxworth lacked the skills to really play for this team BEFORE the injury. It is out of the question now, IMO. He had an opportunity to play for this team and he took ($$) far more than he contributed on the field.
The best we can say is that he is a nice guy, local guy, good locker room guy, nice guy for the community, etc.
The bottom line is that he was hired for a job (starting CB) that he isn't qualified for and it showed from day one.
He is lucky to have cashed in and smart enough it seems to use the money he "earned" wisely cuz it ain't coming twice.

I'm not sure I would agree that he lacked the skills to play for this team, but I would posit that his skill set were a mismatch.

The Ravens have two corners (Webb, Williams) who are great at tight man-to-man coverage and another two (Smith and Gorrer) who showed flashes of the same skills. With the pressure defense that the Ravens bring, these skills helped lead the team to the AFC Championship game.

Foxworth was built for a zone defense, not a man-to-man defense so, even if uninjured, it would be unlikely that he would be able to crack the starting lineup.

Remember that when he was acquired, the Ravens were weak at CB and desperate for a playmaker. Injuries more than mismatched skill vs need killed his time here.

At least Foxworth showed a great deal of class his entire tenure as a Raven.
