Thumbs up WaPo: Romney could best Obama in fundraising

Here’s a scary thought for Democrats: It’s entirely possible that former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and the Republican National Committee will outraise President Obama and the Democratic National Committee in the seven-month sprint to the general election.

In April, the first month in which Romney was untethered by concerns about the primary fight and in which he and the RNC linked up efforts, their combined haul was just north of $40 million — almost the exact amount the president and the DNC gathered in that time frame.

“It’s becoming very clear the president’s opponents are very intent on funding a candidate, regardless of how flawed he is, to win in November,” said Jonathan Mantz, who served as the finance director for then-Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s 2008 presidential bid. “So when you look at the April filing for Romney and then add his super-PAC fundraising to date, Obama’s campaign must maintain if not step up their fundraising pace.” What’s abundantly clear is that Obama won’t have the massive fundraising gap over Romney that he enjoyed in the 2008 contest against Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

More bad news for the libbies and more reminders that this is not 2008. And this doesn't even take into account the massive GOP advantage in super PACS. The Husseinic messiah is going down. Bet on it.

What's funny about Romney is that Romney has been screwing over the far-right wing for years... And the far-right wing can do NOTHING about it and Romney knows it. Romney knows he doesn't have to do a thing to cater to the right wing.

And isn't the racism against Obama just obvious in this thread alone? That's the real reason why they hate Obama so much, because it certainly isn't his politics, which have been more right-wing then Bush most of the time and more right wing then Romney.

Thumbs up Romney to raise about $10 million in NY, Conn.

Chasing President Barack Obama's cash advantage, Republican challenger Mitt Romney expects to raise $10 million during a three-day fundraising swing through the New York area that included a video meeting with donors in China.

Romney's top finance aide told donors in New York City on Monday that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee was set to raise at least that — and "potentially substantially more" — during more than a dozen events.

Romney also planned a July fundraiser with former Vice President Dick Cheney in Wyoming, according to a "Save the Date" invitation to the event. "We've had a successful swing here in New York," Romney's national finance chairman Spencer Zwick told roughly 250 donors who paid $2,500 each to attend a luncheon Monday at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel on Park Avenue. "We will raise more than $10 million, potentially substantially more than that."

The Romney machine continues to roll. So, so many people want the Husseinic messiah evicted from the White House.

    I don't see any disparity.

What I do see is more profound libbie desperation and fear.
