    Default lost the game

Lost the game with the Red Sox. This is what we get for letting Koji go (a great closer) and keeping Gregg, a rotten closer. Must have been about money. Angelos paid a lot for Gregg, and by George he was gonna keep him even though he was horrible. Too bad.

We got two great young players for Koji.

    Chris Davis and Tommy Hunter.

Sorry, but we would not have gotten those kind of players for Gregg.

You're absolutely correct. We got two pitchers (Hunter and Davis) and one power hitter (Davis) for Koji. A good deal for the O's.

Might want to rethink that one.

Kevin Gregg isn't our closer. Jim Johnson is - he of 14/14 saves, and a microscopic ERA.

Nothing about Hunter is great. The best thing that can be said about him is that he's almost average.

You get a young first basement and a #5 starter/swingman for a dime a dozen reliever who has injury problems. That is a trade you make every day and twice on Sunday. It's not like you're trading Machado for say, David Wright for instance. *cough*

He said 2 pitchers, named Hunter and Davis.

We got one pitcher, and one hitter.

Slide, I believe Hector was referring to Chris Davis, the O's first baseman/extra inning relief specialist.

It's called humor, or at least a stab at it.

I assume since you're a student you're a fairly young person. How could you so quickly forget Chris Davis stellar pitching performance against the Red Sox? He's 1 -0 with a .000 ERA. Not bad for a spot reliever who's shown enough ability to blow away the Red Sox.

Another word for "humor" is "reality."

Hunter had a great year in 2010, he just needs to go down and work on some things. Hopefully he can rebound.

He's been bad, but way better than the #5 guys we've been saddled with for the last 10 years.

You might as well not waste your breath...making sense only complicates the conversation
