I don't think it's ever going to happen. Their may be people that want to push political correctness over all the military, but at the same time no one wants to be responsible for deaths and/or failed missions from relaxed standards either.

The people pushing this, will blame unnecessary deaths on others like NCOs or Junior Officers. Just like the Mayor and Fire Commissioner scapegoated a couple of senior fire department officers for the training death of the woman who should have not even been accepted to the fire academy.

That may your or MSM's view, but I suspect this has to do w/ urinalysis; in the armed forces, the complete & irrevocable obsession w/ servicemembers' toilet habits. Literally, figuratively spread those private parts around. What's really special about special forces is that their seniors like being peed & $h@t on & watching people pee & $h!t as much as any municipal, state, or fed. lower functionary or busybody captain of industry.

& When some O-4 or E-8 gets caught w/ his mouth on someone's member or his head up someone's trunk, he can always say, "I thought he/she was using drugs!" "Oh, well, sorry: go right ahead & finish God's work here, soldier!" (When in doubt, Charlie out; run in circles, give God a shout! No; really!)

Because the reality in this country since you apparently haven't been paying attention is eventually those standards will get relaxed when no women are making it through the training. Women in the military already have a different(lower)standard than male soldiers for physical fitness training. We live in a PC world my friend

This is exactly the point. Ken is spot on. We can say that they wont lower the standards but as soon as pressure is placed on the command school to get a female through successfully that standard will be lowered. I've seen it in other schools. I attended Marine Corps MCIWS course (Marine Corps Instructor of Water Safety) and it is one tough course physically. You have to be a freaking fish to get through. We had a female who could not pass one of the tests and sure enough they fudged her through just to keep the numbers in good order. That move could possibly cost someone their lives.
