The author claims that the TARP should be excluded from the calculations. Well if you exclude TARP, you have to exclude the Stimulus.

The only major spending added by Obama has been the Stimulus and the extension of the Bush tax cuts. Everything he's done so far has been temporary...

There are many internet sites that only produce false truths. So, in a matter of speaking, you could shoot the messenger if the messenger is one of those sites. Unfortunately, anybody can start a website these days for the mere purpose of spreading rumors, lies and innuendos. They can do so with little or no accountability and then people with agendas provide links to said site and tout is as gospel.

You are right. The Wall Street Journal has really dropped off in recent years. It used to be an award-winning paper with top-notched reporting in the financial fields. Has it won any awards since the editorial staff changed hands??
